"Come on, we"ve got to go." Zelda shakes me awake.
"Huh? What"s going on?"
"I got us into the cave with the dragons."
My eyes widen and I bolt out of bed. "What? How? It"s been two days."
"I have my ways."
"Are you going to tell me them?"
A wry smile twists at her lips. "It"s nothing too exciting. The team who are on guard duty are new Defenders and they didn"t realise they couldn"t swap jobs with us. They"ll discover it when they turn up tomorrow for a patrol that doesn"t exist, so this is a one-time thing."
"But we don"t know what we"re doing," I point out.
"That"s not going to change whether we go and try to destroy the Arts core today or in a week."
She"s not wrong. And I guess getting it over with is better than the three of us worrying about it constantly for however long.
