"What is it?" June demanded, her voice low.
George's eyes searched hers, a hint of something she couldn't quite place. Concern? Jealousy? "Look, I know things have been tense," he began, his tone measured. "But I need to know if you're okay."
June's brows furrowed. "What are you talking about?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
George leaned against the wall opposite her, his arms folded. "You and Heath," he said simply. "The way he's been acting. The way you've been looking at him. It's obvious."
"Heath already told me you know. So you don't have to act like this." June shrugged.
