Painful phase

After being ghosted by Roy Maxi locked herself in her room after returning from her doctors appointment. Ester her aunt were informed by the driver about what happened and Ester was furious that Roy didn't show up after he said he will. In the meantime no one knew Maxi sended him money to come. Depression and anxiety grew bigger and bigger and Maxi couldn't help herself but to call Roy again again cause se was determined to prove her family and friend wrong but still Roy's cellphone was still off and went straight to voice mail. Tom was growing impatient because both him and his wife wanted to know what the resulls was at the doctor so he went and knocked at Maxi's bedroom door demanding her to open the door that instant. After a while Maxi opened her bedroom door with puffy eyes Tom pushed the door wide open and gave her a hug. His words while hugging her shocked her "I'm so sorry my child I promise I wouldn't let anyone disappoint you like that ever again if you need to go to the doctor I will go with you no business meeting is more important to me than you and your unborn child". Maxi started to cry even more and kept on asking why me uncle? Why does it have to be me?. Tom couldn't hold his tears down and also cried he than told Maxi that God always chooses his strongest soldiers for battles and whatever she is feeling is normal but she will get through this. That afternoon the family spend some time together watching movies and playing games just to cheer Maxi up and she enjoyed every moment of it but as the day turned into night Maxi kept on wondering what happened to Roy. Was he in an accident? Is he okay? Will she ever hear from him again or did he only use her?. That evening Maxi went to bed still wondering and out of the blue Nickey called to check up on her because during the day her aunt Ester contacted Nickey and pleaded with her to make up with Maxi she explained to her the state Maxi was in and that she is scared that if this goes on that Maxi might loose her baby before she could even hold her child in her arms. When Maxi answered the cellphone and didn't know what to expect but out of nowhere Nickey screamed "what's up!? Why couldn't you call me first you clown? Did you think you can get rid of me that easy? No way I'll always be here for you you know that right?. Maxi sobbing on the other end could only say" I've been wanting to call you, I miss you so much ". Nickey than told Maxi that she is coming back home in three weeks time and that she wants to spend everyday with her and her God child when she comes. Maxi just agreed to everything while being on the call with her another call came through on Maxi's phone and it was Roy without thinking she answered his call and dropped Nickey's call leaving Nickey confused. Hello Roy what happened I've waited fir you where were you? Maxi asked Roy. Roy than told Maxi that he was in an accident on his way to her and that he was hospitalized which was a lie he has been spending her money on other women and alcohol in the club and switched his cellphone of when he saw she was constantly calling. Maxi than wanted to know which hospital and how badly he was injured Roy went in by saying he needs to undergo surgery but he does not have money to pay for the surgery. Maxi asked again "which hospital are you in?" Roy again ignoring Maxi's questions kept on saying I have no one who can help me my family does not have that kind of money. One of his friends that was with him pretended to be the doctor and spoke loudly by saying "Mr you will need to cover the 5000 dollars first before we can take you into surgery you can't postpone the surgery any longer other wise you will loose your leg". Shocked buy what she heard Maxi immediately deposited 5000 dollars into Roy's account without thinking. Roy couldn't say thank you enough and said " I promise I will come and see you as soon as I come out of hospital babe but I have to go now we will talk again bye". Just like that he dropped the call but hearing him calling her babe made Maxi blush she felt warm inside so she didn't give the fact that he asked for money and the fact that he was so quick to drop the call without even saying what hospital he was in any thought. That evening Maxi fell asleep with a smile on her face not knowing that she was being used again.
