The ultimatum

The following day has come and Maxi was up singing and dancing through the house as she's busy cleaning. She instructed the chef to make sticky wings, green salad, fried corn, baked potatoes, beef lasagna and for dessert se requested malva pudding. All she wanted was for this day to be perfect there should be no mistakes because she wants her aunt and uncle to see that Roy is willing to change his ways for her and their baby sake and on the other hand she wants Roy to see that she is not poor and that can be a good women for him. I mean she knows how to cook, clean and she has great manners very respectful indeed, but why does she feel the need of proving herself to him? That was the thought which was always running in the back of Maxi's head but she never paid any attention to it because she wants to be with Roy and in her mind she needed him to be present in her life and the baby's life. Ester came walking in and asked Maxi what's the occasion? Why are you so jolly this morning and I told you not to do any chores. Sorry aunt I just couldn't help myself Roy is coming over and I wanted to make sure everything is in order before he arrives. What!? Ester asked looking shocked did you invite him here that coward humiliated you in front of others. I can't believe you did this without me or your uncle's consent Maxi. Aunty you don't understand I need him in my life his the father of my child and I know he will change for the better please give him a chance to prove himself to you, I know he will do better. You do you think you're talking to Maxi! I don't believe for one second that his going to change in fact he'll bring you more heartaches and disappointments my child you can take my word for it. Maxi felt devastating because if this is her aunts response on the invitation she gave to Roy how would it go at the lunch table when he arrives. More confused than ever Maxi tried to think of a way to soft soap her aunt so that she can at least listen to what Roy has to say. Ding dong! There goes the door bell oh no Roy is here Max started to panick. Before she could reach the door one of the servants already invited Roy in. Oh hi come in Maxi couldn't help but to blush when she saw him standing in the passage, please follow me to the garden we'll be sitting there. Damn you live in a mansion, look at this place it's sick so what does you're family do? Babe you could've told me you were living the live everyone dreams of having. Wow is that a range rover who's is it? Roy couldn't help himself he kept on going on over the materialistic things. Everything you see belongs to me and my husband young boy so please try not to break anything cause you will pay for it in cash no pay offs and I thank you sit!. Roy without saying another word Roy walked towards the table and sat down on the chair looking at Maxi as if she could save him from her aunt. So Roy tell me why the sudden change of heart? Ester asked Roy looking him in the eyes. Mam if I knew that Maxi came from a rich family I would have never treated her that way and that's why I'm here to apologize for my actions. I really love her and I want to be there for her and our child. You see aunt I told you he would chance Maxi answered full of smiles. Oh please child don't be naive his just a gold digger he doesn't truly love you and time will show you that! Are you employed Roy?. No I don't have a job it's hard finding a job these days and plus I'm a high school drop out but I'll keep on searching for one I promise. Ester rolled her eyes and said empty promises, okay look here is the thing after today you don't come here without permission Roy and also you won't be seeing Maxi outside of this gates you hear me because there's nothing you can give her except for disappointments. I'm only tolerating you for her sake but in my eyes you're worthless. So yes eat up and leave my house when you're done telling your lies because I see right through you boy, excuse me I'm going to my room and just like that Ester left the garden and went inside the house.
