“Wait… Lisa?” I stared, brows furrowed as she strutted in, about two guards trailing behind her. “You know her?” Mr Gori asked. “I… I don't know.” Was this Lisa? They had the same face, and maybe height. But this woman definitely didn't look like the same person of five years ago. She looked like money puked on her. Everything she had on could not cost less than a million dollars, and the way she walked. The aura in each step. Finn rubbed his hand together. “Sir, I think you should go talk to her.” “What?” “No, I mean, you should try to join hands with her, and maybe…” I had already stopped listening. My feet moved on their own, and before I knew it, I was walking towards her. I needed to know if this was her. Or if my eyes were playing a weird trick on me. When I got close, a guard stepped in front of me. “Do you need anything, sir?” “Yes, I have to talk to Lisa.” “I'm sorry, but Miss Red doesn't talk to strangers. If you have anything to discuss, then please book an appointment and you two can meet formally.” I didn't care about any word other than ‘Miss Red'. Lisa Red. Heck, it was Lisa. It was my Lisa! Like she could feel the weight of my stare, she stopped walking, then turned so our gaze met. No change took over her expression, whereas my breath stalled. She was more beautiful than I could imagine. It wasn't even like she had a lot of makeup on, but my goodness... And I clearly wasn't the only one who noticed, because men (both alone and with partners) had their eyes glued on her. Lisa waved a hand to the guard so he stepped back with a bow. “Wow.” That was all I could make out as she stepped forward. “Lisa, is this… is this really you?” I laughed in disbelief, fingers running through my hair. “Just, wow.” She stared for a second, before speaking. “Do I know you?” “What?” I frowned, and had to step back to take a moment to study her. It couldn't be a coincidence for there to be two Lisa Reds who look alike, right? “It's me. Drex.” I had to remind. All she did was nod. “Oh, I didn't recognize you. Do you need something?” What the heck? “Wha—?" I frowned. "Yes, I actually want to talk to you." "I am very busy right now, and I have things to do, so if you have business, then you should go through the proper channel." "Business?" My head pushed back a little. "That's not why I'm here." "Okay?" She sounded so... I don't know, like she wasn't standing in front of a man she was once married to for so long. There was no bit of care in her expression. I knew it had been five years, but… damn! What happened within that time? "How...?" "Miss Red." A female walked over, head bowed as she whispered something to Lisa. All Lisa did was nod once, then she offered me a half glance. "I'll take my leave now." And like that, she walked away, the guards following behind, leaving me there with a dropped jaw. What just happened? Finn appeared beside me. “What's wrong, sir? Were you able to secure a deal?” I didn't reply. Not yet. My eyes followed Lisa all the way till she was being welcomed by Mr Gori. It took much effort to shift my gaze back to Finn. “I need you to get me every information on her.” “S-Sir?” “Don't make me repeat myself.” I warned, already walking away, and he followed beside. “I need all the details. How she has been these past years. The name of her company. What she does. Her net worth. Position. Everything!” He looked clearly shocked, but nodded either way. “Okay, sir! Wait, are you leaving already? We've not secured any deal yet, sir.” “Forget the deal.” I couldn't care about any deal. Not with how much shock was relaxing inside me. "But, sir I don't think you should leave." When I reached the door, I couldn't help it… I turned back to where she still stood. One of her guards left, only to return with a boy. A little boy, who was definitely not older than five. My body froze, eyes glued on him as he rushed over to her. She held his hand and smiled. I was sure my blood turned cold. Wait... Could it be I left more than just an ex-wife behind?
