The next morning was Saturday, so I woke up early to get some chores done, and make a quick breakfast before waking Imogen. I helped her shower and brush her teeth, then got her dressed in something comfortable. “I'll be gone for a while, dear, so you'll stay with uncle Leo till I'm back.” I said over breakfast. When she frowned, I asked, “Why? You don't want to be with him?” “I like playing with uncle Leo, but you've been too busy to play with me all week. I thought we would spend today together.” Oh. Hearing the sadness in her tone made my heart squeeze. Especially since she was right. “I'm sorry, dear.
