"Dexter, don't come crawling back to me in tears!"
Arianna's eyes instantly filled with tears. She hurled her phone across the room, and the screen shattered with a sharp c***k!
But not even a second later, she rushed over to pick it up. She didn't bother changing properly. She pulled on the first clothes she found, grabbed her keys, and drove straight to the hospital.
When she arrived, the room Dexter had been staying in was already occupied by another patient.
She hurriedly stopped a nurse in the hallway. "The patient who was in this room, where is he? Was he transferred to another room?"
The nurse looked surprised for a second, then answered, "The gentleman who was staying here was discharged this afternoon."
Then the nurse's eyes lit up.
"Wait, you're Arianna, aren't you..."
