Prologue

“Abel! Abel!” I practically shout his name. I have been standing in front of our apartment door for half an hour now, I forgot my keys at my best friend, Eva’s, and I have no way in unless he opens the bloody door, I know he is inside because the lights are on, he is probably sleeping while I am out here. I sigh and take my lock picks from my bag “look what you resort me to doing Abel, you sleepy ass” I mutter under my breath while picking the lock of my own home. When I get inside, I go straight to his room, ready to shout at him, but he isn’t there. Weird, it isn’t like him to leave the lights on, I call his cell but he doesn’t pick up he is probably out with his friends, I sigh and go to my room to crash. It wasn’t until the next night when I found his note that I knew something has gone terribly wrong, and that I might be too late. The note was simple enough it said, “Li, I’ve been digging around our past, meet me where we saw our mother last”
