Chapter 19
While driving to meet Campbell Vaughn at a bistro in Kahuku, on the northeastern shore, Pari has time to make two phone calls. The first is to Katerina. Without asking her the location of Isabelle and Vicky's rental home, Pari prods her to recall whether Vicky made any mention of a specific task she needed to complete last night.
"Her focus only seemed to be on Isabelle," Katerina answers.
"How about designating a certain location for the rental home?" Pari asks. "Did she share anything like that with you?"
"Well, she wanted something close by. On the eastern side of the island, but not too close to Honolulu. I think she wanted to bring her back to Gabriel's house if Isabelle had a breakdown, but that is only a guess. Vicky did not verbalize that."
