Chapter 8 - A New Target
“Let’s take this into my office,” Mel said to Sally.
To Holly, she said, “Please buzz me in no more than ten minutes. I can’t be late.” Holly nodded.
As they walked down the hallway to her office, Mel made small talk. “Where’s your dog? I never see you without him...her...it.”
“Him,” Sally said. “His name is Clyde. He’s in the car with my sister. I didn’t figure you’d let me bring him in here.”
“It’s pretty cold out. You should have had your sister come in,” Mel said. She skirted around her desk and sat back down in her chair.
“Then who would stay with Clyde? Besides, you’re only giving me ten minutes.”
