Tears of Betrayal

1044 Words
Eda POV: In January, the city was still freezing cold. I walked out of the mall and tightened my white coat, leaving only my face bare. With the items I just selected clutched in one hand. I looked at the things i bought, my face beaming with joy. I waved down a taxi, and got in. A cheerful looking old man was the driver. "You are beaming," he remarked "I am getting married soon to the love of my life," I replied, not minding I was telling a random stranger about my personal life. "Your fiancee is lucky to marry you, you are a good one" he said. "Thank you," I replied radiating with joy. My fingers stroked the texture of the black sweater in the shopping bag. My heart was filled with indescribable happiness. The wedding date was set for the end of January, which was a good date. It meant that in three days, I would marry him, the love of my life. I told him I won't be coming to his place today but wished to surprise him with several stuff I bought according to his preferences. As my thoughts drifted closer, the old driver had already parked his car in front of a small villa and respectfully opened the car door for me. "Thank you monsieur" I bow slightly respectfully I carried the things and walked towards the villa with brisk steps. Arriving at the door of the room, I breathed a warm breath into my palm and pushed open the door. I walked into his room. In my sight, there was a red bridal bed, with a pair of people who were intertwined, their obsessed bodies making fervent motions. Accompanied by a passionate moan that reached burned my ears. The person on the bed seemed to sense the door being pushed open and the intense movement stopped. In my eyes, the perfect husband-to-be who was so loving towards me was looking at me lustily, as if he was still in a daze. Beneath him, lay a beautiful woman. She was not satisfied, and deliberately pulled the man down. But when she saw me standing in front of the door, she tried to cover her body with the quilt beside her. "Eda!" Her weak voice was completely different from her excited moans seconds ago. "Eda..." He said He nervously picked up the clothes beside him and covered his lower body. He stepped towards me and reached out to pull me, but I carefully evaded him. It was hard to calm the waves in my heart, but I stepped back and walked towards the living room. Five minutes later, the two of them, who had been naked just now, were fully dressed and sat opposite me. "Eda, I'll sever this relationship with Stanford" I ignored Wendy and kept looking at Stanford Pines, who lowered his head and said nothing. Seeing that I was unmoved, Wendy knelt on the ground and touched her lower abdomen with a painful expression. "I won't keep this child... It won't affect your marriage! Please don't blame Stanford! " When Stanford heard this, He raised his head and locked eyes with me. The man in front of him, who had once said countless vows to me. I couldn't believe that the man who had treated mr great in every possible way, when he proposed to me in front of everyone was f*****g my bestfriend. "Eda Clawthorne, I only want to marry you in this life! I only love you! I only love you!" "I'm not interested. You both can have yourself, you deserve one another!" I said in a low mocking voice, her heart throbbing painfully. "Eda!" Stanford stared at me in disbelief. The words of pain spilled from my lips like a bitter poison, a desperate attempt to convey the depths of my hurt. "How could you?" I cried, my voice breaking. "You were supposed to be my best friend, my confidante, the one I turned to in times of trouble. And you," I turned to him, my soon-to-be husband, my voice trembling with rage and sorrow, "You were supposed to be the love of my life, my partner, my protector. But instead, you've become the source of my deepest betrayal." "I once said that what I want is loyalty to love. Since you're unfaithful to our love, then we'll end it! " I declared, resolutely. "But there are still three days before our wedding!" Stanford said. I laughed painfully, everyword said was cutting through my heart like a knife. "You want me to pretend that what happened between you two doesn't exist? Or should we will both be your wife?" I gazed at Wendy. She met my gaze as we locked eyes, but the weakness from earlier was no longer there. Instead, there was a gloomy look. "Was our friendship just a façade? Was our love a lie? How could you both betray me like this, just days before our wedding?" I looked from Stanford to Wendy and back to Stanford. "Goodbye forever," I said "Eda!" Stanford walked over and tried to pull my hand. I yanked his hand and walked away! From behind, Wendy pulled Stanford's hand and led her into the room, "Stanford, let her be calm first!" I took one step at a time, my footsteps vain, I felt like the weight of the world was tied to my feet as I dragged them across the ground. It was a cold winter, but I could no longer feel the cold. I felt the warm liquid flow down my cheeks. I walked out of the villa gate. I try to put on a brave face, to pretend that I'm okay, but the pain is a constant ache in my chest. I wonder if I'll ever be able to trust again, to let someone into my heart without the fear of being betrayed. Right now, all I can do is take one shaky step at a time. A loud horn jolted me out of my trance, I raised my head in time to see I was right in the middle of the road and black sedan was fast approaching me. The two sedans drove from two different directions. "Bang..." There was a loud crash.
