Yves POV: "There's another guard just around this corner" I broke through the corner like the wind and put a knife into the guard's eye before he could lift a finger. I moved stealthily through the opulent corridors of the massive yacht. The voice in my ear was a lifeline, guiding me through the labyrinthine vessel, pinpointing the locations of the enemy guards like a game of chess. Silent as a whisper in the shadows, I dispatched each guard with precision. I broke their neck and stabbed them through the heart, their lives were extinguished before they even had a chance to grasp the threat in their midst. My heart, cold as the steel of my weapon, showed no emotion. I stood before the door to my target's chamber. I silently slipped in, I saw the enemy was unsuspectingly captivated by a cartoon on the television. I wasted no time, I shot him twice, and the two bullets silenced him forever. His lifeless form crashed into the glass table, shattering the delicate trinkets that adorned it. "Mission Successful, 4," The voice in my ear said. I heaved a huge sigh of relief. I knew it was done. Satisfaction washed over me like a wave over a rock. The sudden creaking of footsteps from the inner room shattered my momentary relief. Panic coursed through me as I retreated into the shadows, my finger caressing the trigger of my gun, waiting for any living soul that come out of that room. A small and innocent girl came out of the room. "Dad, what was that?" her small voice called. She saw her dad in his pool of blood. I saw the pain in her innocent eyes as she rushed to her father's side. She was young just like me. she couldn't be less than four years younger. "Dad, Dad, Dad. Wake up Dad" she called. She began to wail. Her sound was haunting adding to the grim scene. "Kill her" The command crackled through my earpiece, cold and merciless. My gut twisted with revulsion, and I vehemently refused. "I can't kill a child," I whispered vehemently into the comm, my voice quivering. The voice on the other end persisted, demanding obedience. "No living witnesses," it reiterated, a tone as heartless as the organization it represented. I stood my ground, my resolve unyielding. "I won't do it," I declared, my voice unwavering. The voice on the comm grew angrier, promising retribution. "You will regret this," it threatened. "I will take whatever my punishment is, but I'm not killing a child," I said. I knew the punishment that awaited me. Three days in the cold room without food or water. I removed the earpiece with trembling hands, severing my connection to my superiors. I slipped out of the room silently, the wailing child unbeknownst to my presence. I navigated the maze of the yacht, it was somewhat harder without a guide. I kept running turning on my instincts until I got out and could see the verse sea. I wanted to jump into the sea, but before I could pain erupted in my stomach and chest. I looked down, shock coursing through me, as I saw two new holes in my body, blood seeping out like an oasis. I turned my gaze upward, I knew who shot me. I knew punishment awaited my defiance but I wasn't expecting this. My whole life flashed right before my eyes, all the lives I had cruelly taken and the chaos I had incurred. I deserve this! I was an abomination that needed to be wipe off the face of the earth. I smirked before succumbing to the abyss of the deep, dark ocean. ●□■■♤♤♡♡◇◇ I woke up to a sound of crashing waves. I was oblivion to my surroundings at first, a strong familiar stench of salty water filled my nose, it was a boat that have such amalgam of smell emanating from varied sources. Faces poke through the haze, linger, fade away. They peer down, ask me questions. They all ask questions. Do I know who I am? Do I hurt anywhere?. I know who I am and I hurt everywhere. I want to tell them this but talking hurts. "Stay with me son" I heard the faint concerned voice over the crashing waves. I Fade out.
