Estelle's POV "Ugh—" Dinner rushed back, sour and bitter. My communication crystal slipped, shattering on the floor. Still, the nauseating sounds persisted. My wolf clawed at the bond, desperate to break free, to tear, to bite—but she was chained. I vomited until my lungs burned, until nothing remained but dry heaving. My body shook violently. My wolf sank back, letting out a low, mournful whimper. A wounded beast. Eventually, silence fell. The floor was a mess, the shattered phone glowing faintly.
