Akua's mind was reeling as she tried to process the revelation. Elijah, the man she had kissed under the full moon, was a descendant of traitors who had been cast out of her pack.

Akua's eyes widened in shock. "They tried to overthrow our alpha?"

Kofi nodded. "Yes. They were led by a charismatic leader named Marcus, who was Elijah's ancestor. They sought to take control of the pack and impose their own rule."

Akua felt a shiver run down her spine. "What happened to them?"

Kofi's voice dropped to a whisper. "They were defeated, Akua. Our pack's leadership was stronger, and we were able to defeat the rebels. But the consequences were severe. Marcus and his followers were banished from the pack, forced to flee into the unknown."

Akua's mind was racing. She couldn't believe that Elijah's family had been involved in such a treacherous plot. And yet, as she thought back to their conversations, she realized that Elijah had been hinting at this all along.
