"A bond between souls is ancient - older than the planet." *-------------------------------* Khan Villa "Ammiiii.....look bhai (elder brother) is snatching my cupcake!", a girl shouted as she was trying her best to protect her blueberry cupcake from her brother. He slightly slapped the head of his sister and took the cupcake from her. "You dumbo girl! I'm just conscious about your weight. If you become like a cupcake then who will marry my stupid sister and save my life?", her brother said dramatically as he finished the cupcake. "Ugh, bhai! You're so bad. You ate my cupcake too.", she whined like a child. This is a common view of Khan Villa. These two always keep fighting. But, that's cute though. "Zimraan! Zaira! You guys are again fighting! What will our Sara learn from you guys?", Sayeda scolded the brother-sister duo. "Areeh, bhai? You're so early today!", Zaira said as Saad walked in with Sara. "I didn't go to the office today as my daughter wasn't feeling well.", he said kissing Sara as he sat on the sofa. "Aw! My Sara baby isn't feeling well? Come baby, we'll play", Zaira said in a baby voice as Saad placed Sara in Zaira's lap and went upstairs to change. "No. Sara will play with her chachu (father's brother) Right, baby?" "Absolutely wrong! She'll play with her phupho jan ( father's sister)." "You're wrong. Look at Sara's face. I can see her frowning. That means, she doesn't want to play with you", he sticked out his tongue. And, here you go! Their fight started again. Little Sara was enjoying the fight a lot. ----------------------- "Ammi, we have to find a girl for our Saad.", Sayeda said to her mother-in-law. "He agreed?!", Saad's Dadi Jan asked with a surprised expression. Sayeda shook her head saying 'no'. "He'll never say 'yes'. But, I can't see them suffering anymore. That little girl is incomplete without her mother." "You're right, my daughter. I have a girl in my eyes. My experience is saying she'll be perfect for my child.", Saad's grandmother said fixing her glasses. "Really? Who's the girl, Amma?", Sayeda chirped happily. Her mother-in-law signed her to wait. Then, she picked her phone and dialed a number. 《On the call》 "Hello, bestie!" "Hi! So, finally you got time for me, huh?" "I'm so sorry. Now tell me, how are you? How's everyone there? How's my Dua?" "I'm very fine. Everyone is also fine. And your Dua... she's well too. My crazy girl! How are you, oldie?" "Hey, I'm still sweet 16!" "Yeah yeah.. Now tell me how's everyone there? "Everyone is fine." "What about my Saad and Sara?" "Saad? He's not fine at all! Zinda lash bangeya humara baccha. And Sara needs a mother." "Ah! He was such a playful boy. Why life is so cruel!" "Hmm... we're looking for a girl for him. And, I know a girl who is perfect for my Saad and Sara." "Really? That's great! They surely need someone. By the way, who's the girl?" "Dua." ----------------------- "Congratulations, Sayeda! We found a perfect girl for our Saad.", Saad's grandmother informed Sayeda after finishing her conversation with her bestie. Happiness was visible in her eyes. "Amma, is that your best friend's granddaughter?", Sayeda asked her mother-in-law in a confused voice. "Yes. Dua... I know she's perfect for our Saad and Sara." "They agreed? I mean, do they know about Saad's previous marriage and Sara?", Sayeda asked to clear her confusion. "Yes, my friend knows everything. She said that she'll talk with her family and inform me.", she replied happily. "Then, why you said that they agreed, Amma? I became happy for no reason.", Sayeda frowned. "Cause, I know they will agree for the marriage. Our Saad is a rare diamond after all. And, Dua is also a well cultured girl.", her mother-in-law replied with a smile. ----------------------------- Mirza House "Amma, what happened? Why you called us here all of a sudden?", Ibrahim asked his mother who called everyone in the living room. "Dadi Jan, aren't you feeling well? Should I call the doctor?", Dua asked her grandma in a concerned voice. "No, meri bacchi (my child). I'm completely fine.", she replied with a smile. "Actually, I want to discuss something very important.", she announced. "What is it, Amma?", Ayesha asked. "It's about Dua's marriage." "What are you saying, Amma? Dua's marriage? She's still a child.", Ibrahim immediately said and looked at Dua who went to her room with teary eyes. "Calm down, my son. I know what am I saying. Just listen to me once.", she told her son calmly. "You saw that, Amma? My daughter is crying.", Ibrahim said to his mother. "Listen, beta. He's my childhood friend's grandson. I know the family very well. I bet, you'll like the family. At least, meet them! They're nice people. And, Dua is my granddaughter. I'll do the best for her, right?", she finished with hope in her eyes. Ibrahim understood the whole situation but, remain silent. A fear of giving away his precious child to someone crept into his heart. Dua was afraid. She didn't know how to deal with such situation. The mere thought of leaving her family for a stranger was horrible. ------------------------------- "Dua, my princess. Your papa is here. Open the door, beta (child)." Dua opened the door with trembling fingers. She looked at her father with teary eyes. Ibrahim made her sit on bed and wiped her tears which were silently flowing. "Young lady did you see my daughter? I can't find her!", her father said playfully trying to make her smile. "I'm here papa.", she softly replied hugging her father like a child. "Oh! My baby is here!", Ibrahim kissed her forhead lovingly. "If I'm your baby then why you are talking about my marriage?", Dua pouted looking at her father. "Look, my child. No one will force you. It'll be completely your decision. But, I think we should meet with the family as your Dadi Jan already talked with them. And, she'll feel bad if we refuse to meet, right?", he said to his daughter in a soft voice. "Papa, I don't know if I'm ready for marriage or not. How will I live without you guys? How will I live with strangers?", Dua nervously said looking down. "Princess, it's not like you have to say 'yes' for marriage. We'll meet with them first. Your decision will be the final one.", he assured her. "Okay, Papa. I'll meet with them.", she said softly. "That's my child! Now don't stress yourself and go to bed.", he kissed the forhead of his daughter. "Good night, Papa.", she smiled. "Good night, my baby." Khan Villa "Sayeda...Sayeda?", Saad's grandmother called her daughter-in-law in a happy voice. "What happened, Amma?", Sayeda asked as she hurriedly came to her. "Guess what? They want to meet with us! My bestie just informed me.", she chirped happily. "Alhamdulillah! That's great! When we'll visit them, Amma?",Sayeda asked in excitement. "Tomorrow.", she replied with a satisfied smile. "Ya Allah! I'm so happy, Amma." "But, what about your stubborn son?" "Don't worry about him, Amma. If he's stubborn then, I'm his mother." ---------------------- Mirza House "Ibrahim, start preparations! They're coming tomorrow!", Dua's Dadi Jan informed her son in a super happy voice. Ibrahim sighed and just nodded his head. He wasn't surprised. Cause, he knows his mother's excitement very well. Tension was in the air of both houses. Dua was confused not knowing what to do and Saad was unaware of his mother's plan. ----------------------------------------------------------- Assalam u Alaikum ? This author is damn nervous rn?
