SHATTERED BONDS Griffin’s POV Griffin’s keen glare slashed through the air like a sword, each step of his pacing resonating with increased intensity. His wide shoulders were stiff, his mouth set in a harsh line. The living room that had previously seemed warm and comfortable suddenly looked stifling, the walls closing in as his words hit like thunder. "You've been lying to me, Ivy," he continued, his voice icy and uncompromising. His gaze held me to the place, demanding answers I wasn’t sure how to provide. I opened my lips to speak, but no sound came out at first. My heart raced, terror tearing at my chest. "Griffin, it’s not what you think. I wasn’t lying to harm you. I was attempting to protect you."
