Moving In

August. Usually the first week of this month, everyone is serious and still adjusting to college - but not for Adelaide. She's already in her third year and for her, first week of classes don't matter. It's just another academic year. What's new though is that she moved out of her dorm that she's been living in for two years. Now she lives in a studio type apartment with 2 rooms. She's moving in with a family friend of hers named Kyle - a freshman BS Human Ecology student. "You think college would be good to me?" asked kyle while he was unpacking his things with Adelaide and fixing the apartment. "Well yeah it will be. Three years and I'm still alive. You can still touch me and see me right?" They both laughed and continued fixing their new place. After so many hours of unpacking, their place looks like a pretty decent apartment. Adelaide's small room is full of her things - a cabinet that kinda leans already because it has so many clothes in it, a laundry basket, a box full of her boyfriend's things, painting she made 2 years ago just lies around the floor, he laptop table, and a shelf. Kyle on the other hand has a bigger room but with less stuff - just a small desk and a cabinet and a laundry basket. Both of them utilized the top bunk as extra storage for their stuff. Adelaide decided to take a break after fixing the apartment so she began checking her social media accounts. There was one message in their group chat that read: "THURSDAY NIGHT AT OTTERS! See you guys!" It was from Ardy, a schoolmate of Kyle and Adelaide. Since there are only a few people from their high school who get into their university, they ave decided to go to the dinner. "Kyle you saw this?" she shouted from her room so that Kyle could hear her from the room. "Yeah but I don't want to go. It smells like smoke and drunk people there". "It will be fun promise. C'mon!" "Alright. There goes peer pressure" Adelaide replied to group chat "Going". She checked the people who confirmed that they would go. The list meant nothing to her but what she doesn't know is that one person in that list can change her junior year.
