Chapter 7

--UNKOWN POV— I made my way to the hospital so that I can go through there files, I am almost completely sure who ever awakened and left that scorch mark is who master is after. That means I just have to figure out anyone who had turned 18 today and kill them and bring the body to master, or I could capture the person and bring them to master so that master could take his own pleasure killing the person himself. I stuck to the edges and shadows as I was easily able to find their archive room and quickly dug through the files. Such a small village it didn’t take long. I held up the file and found the necessary information. ‘Amy Stone, seems there is an address on here too’ I tucked the file in my cloak and made my escape. Off to find this Amy Stone. --Amy POV— I woke up from a nightmare and decided to just sit by my window and stare out at the rose bush Addi had helped me plant 3 years ago, it had gotten bigger then we both thought. I could still remember how I had freaked out when Amy cut her hand on a thorn, she smiled at me and comforted me by saying it didn’t hurt. She ended up needing 3 stitches. I could feel tears fall from my eyes, I was so tired of crying, I just wanted to run through the forest to help clear my mind. I quickly got my shoes on and snuck out the back door of the house, luckily there is a forest entrance right out back of our house. I closed my eyes as the heat built up in me and while I shifted I noticed it didn’t hurt as much. Before I know it I was standing on 4 paws. Without waiting any second longer I bolted towards the forest. The smells, sights, and sounds were intense and exhilarating. I felt as if I could run all night. But my thoughts snapped back to home when I heard glass breaking and my moms scream in the distance. I quickly ran back home while trying not to panic, maybe mom just dropped a glass cut and had hurt herself. Just as I finally reached the house and was about to shift back I heard a bobcat roar that was cut short with the sound of something similar to water dripping followed by something heavy hitting the floor. I was frozen in my tracks as I started to smell iron in the air and deep inside of my brain one word echoed in my head in recognition to the smell. Blood. --Addi POV— Everything was still dark and I was still trapped but atleast I was able to remember more. That face I saw earlier was my brother James, I also could remember more, my mom, dad, amy, and more about myself. I started to get excited, it was like watching episodes of a tv show in my head. I wanted to remember everything, so I continued to focus and tried my hardest, but the visions of a terrible dream brought back the flames over my body and I couldn’t even scream, I just tried to focus on anything and everything other then those intense flames. “Don’t fear the flames, embrace them, they will guide you Addeline" a voice echoed in my head. I was scared, how could I embrace pain like that, it would be like jumping into a crematorium by choice and then turning the flames on yourself. I tried to control my thoughts and just focused on my family and I stopped fighting the pain. I wanted… no needed to get back to my family, I have no idea how long I have been locked in here but I knew everyone must be worried. Mom always worried about me and my brother was so easily depressed that I didn’t want to be the one to make him sad, it was my job as big sis to make sure he was happy. So with that thought I did as the voice told me and finally embraced the flames. --At the Morgue— Doctor Pax scratched the back of his head after he finished his most recent attempt to cool the body. It was soo charred they really couldn’t do much anyway, he wanted to call in the elders and see if there was anyone in the village with a ice affinity but he knew those were slim chances, an element was rarely gifted to a blessed spirit creature. He sighed and turned to Dave, the mortician, and shrugged his shoulders. “I am at a loss on what to do, do you have any ideas?” he asked Dave. Dave shrugged, “unless you wanna stick her in a freezer again, last time we tried an hour, maybe we can put the body in the freezer and call it a night and just check on it tomorrow?” he spoke hopeful, he wanted to go home, he was burned out and tired. Doctor Pax just sighed and looked back at the charred body of the young girl, he could still hear her reading stories to the children at the hospital, she was such a good person. “just go home Dave, if I figure out something I will call you back in" Dave smiled and nodded before nearly running out of the morgue. “Addeline it was always special to be able to watch you give such hope and happiness to those kids, their life wasn’t easy but you gave them something precious and made them happy again. I always hoped you would be able to pursue your dreams yourself and go to college and change the world. But here you are, burnt by some type of internal fire and I cant even cool you down so that you can be examined and put to rest" he finished nearly choking on tears, he hadnt lost a patient in a long time, perks of a small town. Suddenly Addi's body started to radiate an intense heat again and Doctor Pax quickly wheeled her into the refrigeration chamber and closed the door. He ran towards the phone and scrambled to dial the Elders number. “H-Hello, this is Doctor Pax, we need someone from the council down at the morgue, Miss Addeline White's body is starting to emit even more heat just a second ago, I put her body in the cold chamber but I don’t know if it will get worse or not, Im just hoping it can hold off any flames and control the heat. Please, I beg you, I need someone from the council here as soon as possible” He stumbled out his words in a desperate plea for help. “someone will be there in 15minutes, please keep the chamber door closed until they arrive" a voice returned and before Doctor Pax could say his thank you the other person hung up. He sighed as he set the phone down and looked slowly back at the refrigeration chamber door. “What the hell is going on?” he couldn’t help but whisper to himself. --Lisa POV— I was just walking towards Amy's room to check on her, I felt bad about what she heard earlier and hadnt even said how sorry I was about Addi. I went to knock on her door but I heard our front door slowly creak open. Everything in me screamed danger as I stood protectively in front of Amy's door. “I don’t know who is all home but I only came for one thing and I promise to leave the rest of you alive, I am not a big fan of killing but will do so if anyone comes between what I am after.” A voice creepily paced the house, trying to find something. I didn’t say anything and just waited, hoping whatever the person was here for was found and the man would leave, its been a long time since I did any sort of training, I gave all that up so I could focus more on raising Amy. Suddenly a figure stood in the hallway looking at me, I couldn’t see his face but the feelings that I got from their stare made all the hairs on my body stand up. “Good, someone awake, I am looking for Amy Stone, where is she?” his sinister voice cut through the silent house. I froze, he wanted Amy??? And that’s when my eyes started glowing and I gave him a growl. “I wont let you near my daughter” I snapped I could hear the man sign, “Cant say I didn’t warn you” and then he disappeared. I was confused but brought back to reality as I felt someone grip my head and throw me down the hallway, falling onto a large vase. I quickly transformed and lunged at the man but he swiftly roundhouse kicked me back. “I would stop if I was you, last warning, one more move and you die" he sounded irritated but I didn’t care, he would not be allowed to touch Amy. I lunged and roared but then everything went black. --James POV— We were still waiting for my dad to return from his talk with Elder Shen, he had already been gone for over an hour, mom had fallen asleep and was resting her head on my shoulder and we sat quietly in the waiting room. I sighed and leaned my head back and stared at the ceiling, this all felt unreal. I wonder how Amy is? What is taking dad so long? And why havent we heard from the morgue about the causes of Addi's death, why did she suddenly just combust like that… twice??? I had so many thoughts going through my head that I started to get a massive headache, I uased my free hand to try to rub my temple in hopes to relieve me of some pain and pressure. The sound of gasps from people drew my attention to the entrance. My eyes widened as 8 Elders quickly made their way to the morgue with serious looks on their face. ‘What the hell?!?!?’
