- Jacob POV –
I couldn’t see anything past the flames, but when it died down and I opened my eyes I met her beautiful glowing icy blue eyes. A heat built up in my chest as I saw her stand there, but then I noticed something weird pass over her face and instantly knew that something wasn’t right.
As her body started to drop I instantly ran towards her calling out her name in panic.
I quickly caught her before her head hit the floor of the cave. I lifted her up bridal style and looked at her unconscious face. Her face was so peaceful and I felt at ease when I held her, like this feeling was what my body has been searching for since the day I awakened.
