As I ran through the forest in my spirit form I felt free, I loved being in my spirit form, I was a midnight black wolf and so my senses were very good. I had been tracking some people leave the village I was assigned to watch when I came across a woman surrounded by burnt grass. The charred grass smell agitated my nose but I watched with curiosity. Jacob had failed to report back to master so he sent me to watch the village, we assumed he was caught and killed, sloppy.
I felt jealous of the master’s obsession with Jacob, I never knew what was so special about him, he never transformed infront of us so I could only assume it was something weak and embarrassing.
