Bryan's Plan

Daniel saw the darkness. He was scared and ran as fast as he could. Sometimes his feet slip and fall. But he had to stay away from that place. Cold sweat ran down his temples. His breathing also started to become erratic. Daniel was exhausted. He paused for a moment to catch his breath.

"Where are you running to?"

A long fingernail hugged Daniel's body from behind. He screamed in terror as he struggled. Daniel fell from the waiting chair onto the hospital floor. It turned out to be a nightmare.

"It was just a dream," Daniel said to himself.

He looked at Lee who was still closed. It was morning, Daniel immediately took a shower and put on the same clothes. He opened the window blinds.

"You're awake!?!" Say hello to Rachel at the door.

"Yes," replied Daniel.

"This is for you," Rachel said placing the basket of food on the chair.

"Looks like I really bothered you," said Daniel.

"Youre here?" Suddenly Marsha appears and scolds Rachel.

"Of course. I'm the doctor of this hospital," Rachel said.

"But today is your day off," said Marsha.

Rachel looks awry. "I'm here to look after Lee," Rachel finally said.

Marsha was silent.

"You alone? What are you doing here?" Rachel asked.

"I happened to pass by. Because I was very touched by Daniel's story. I bought him fruit and some food," said Marsha while showing a large plastic in her right hand.

Daniel scratched his head uncomfortably. He didn't know which part of the story touched Marsha. He didn't feel like he was telling her anything.

"This. People who take care of sick people must be healthy. I brought fruit," said Marsha, handing the plastic bag into Daniel's hands.

"Thank you," said Daniel.

Marsha went out for a while, then she came in again dragging a small suitcase.

"You want to go?" Rachel asked.

"No. These are clothes for Daniel. Incidentally there are a lot of unused and new clothes. So this is just for you. I used to have a husband but we are divorced," said Marsha. In fact, Marsha and Alex are still in the process of divorce.

"How is it? I'll give it back. Including this outfit from Rachel."

"No need. That's for you," Rachel and Marsha said at the same time.

"Okay. Thank you," said Daniel confused.

Lee, who had actually woken up, smiled at the scene. In his heart he had guessed that Daniel did have a strong attraction.

"Excuse me, is this Lee's room," a nurse asked.

"That's right," said Daniel.

"Someone from the company wants to see you," the nurse said and left. Then a man in a suit entered the room. Marsha suddenly went to the toilet.

The person immediately went to Lee and apologized. They promised to cover Lee's costs and losses.

"I, Bryan. In charge of the bridge project. We sincerely apologize for the negligence of our workers. So, we intend to reimburse the hospital costs and the losses you suffered," said Bryan.

"No. It's my own fault," Lee refused.

"Just accept it. This is a company rule," said Bryan, writing something down on a piece of paper. Then he handed it to Lee.

"Just give it to my grandson, if you insist," Lee said.

Daniel immediately approached and took the sheet of paper which was a check paper with a number that Daniel could cash in the bank.

"What!?!" The person was immediately surprised to see Daniel.

"This is my grandson Daniel," said Lee.

"No way. You're dead. You're dead!" Bryan shouted and ran scared out of the hospital.

Daniel, Lee and Rachel were taken aback by his attitude. That's when Marsha came out of the toilet.

"I have to go. I wish your grandfather a speedy recovery," said Marsha to Daniel, then left.

"Strange people," said Daniel, shaking his head.

Rachel laughed at Daniel's expression. Lee smiled too. Just then the nurse came with food for Lee. Daniel immediately took the food and fed Lee.

"You have to eat a lot and be healthy again so we can go home soon," said Daniel.

"You're right," said Lee.

Meanwhile elsewhere. Bryan arrived at his office. He was frightened and drank the glass on his table in a hurry.

"What happened to you?" asked Alex who had also just arrived. He was curious to see Bryan standing with his legs and body shaking.

Bryan who was surprised by Alex's voice immediately spouted water in his mouth.

"Alex," he said, surprised.

"Who do you think?" said Alex annoyed. "What's going on? You look like you've seen a ghost. Have you given money to the fallen person?"

Bryan nodded. "He's getting better and they're taking the money. I don't think they're going to sue," Bryan said.

"Good. Make sure this doesn't happen again. The whole world is watching this project. We must succeed. If this bridge is completed on time. There are many big projects waiting for us," said Alex.

Bryan nodded. He wanted to tell if he saw Daniel was still alive. But Bryan hesitated to say so. Alex wouldn't believe it and might just cause another big problem because Bryan said it. He could be killed right then and there.

"Okay. I just stopped by. Try to finish tomorrow. You understand!?!" Alex gave a warning.

Bryan nodded. She could breathe a sigh of relief once Alex had left with Ben waiting for her in the car. The two of them were greatly feared. They got rid of everyone who disagreed with or opposed their leadership. There were many people who died for their good name.

All employees suffer. They are like slaves who are only made to work and be fed. However, they are only paid a quarter of the salary they should be. Of course with this amount of money, Bryan and the other employees could not support their family life. But if they stopped or sued, they would be killed, as if it was just an accident.

Bryan feels that Daniel's presence is a sign of their freedom. Bryan will keep it a secret and will check who the young man who has a face like Daniel is. If Daniel returns, all of Alex's and Ben's power will be undermined. They will demand punishment for both crimes.

Bryan immediately asked his men to investigate Lee's grandson. He asked his subordinates to do it secretly. Don't let anyone know the young man who looks like Daniel. Therefore, Bryan will send a special doctor and put Lee in a special room and no one can disturb the two.

Journalists will come to meet them. Bryan also sent two officers to guard Lee's room. They were not allowed to let journalists in with cameras and only allowed regular interviews. That way Alex will not find the young man. Brian smiled faintly. He will prepare a large-scale rebellion against the leadership of his fake company.
