Yin And Yang

Daniel tidied up the empty warehouse next to Lee's house. The plan is that the warehouse will be converted into Rachel's house. Living with Daniel wasn't good for Rachel. "What are you doing?" Lee asked. Slowly he approached Daniel.

"What book is this? The cover image resembles something I've seen before. But I can't remember where?" said Daniel.

"This is a philosophy of life. When we're done setting up Rachel's room I'll let you know," said Lee.

Daniel nodded. He immediately took out all the things that were not used and put in the things Rachel needed such as a wooden couch, cupboard, table and chairs. Don't forget to sweep and give a little decorative touch on the walls.

"The symbol is a symbol of Yin and Yang. The philosophy of living calm, peaceful and full of happiness. This philosophy has been taught from generation to generation by my family. This black symbol is called Yin. While this white symbol is called Yang. Like night and day. Like the moon and sun . Like female and male. Such is Yin and Yang. The two must coexist and be in balance." Lee began to tell about the book that was found by Daniel.

"Are bad and good also included?" asked Daniel.

"That's right. Human has a Yin and Yang side to him. There is an evil side as well as a good side. Both must exist and be in harmony. Too good is neither good. Too bad is not very good."

"How can it be?" asked Daniel.

"Because we are human. Evil is the nature of the devil. Good is the nature of angels. Lust and intuition are the nature of animals. While growing and developing is the nature of plants. The bodies we use are the nature of nature, air, fire, earth, water. All these elements exist in humans. That's why humans can be wiser. Life is balanced and happy. Humans always make mistakes and make mistakes, then they regret and try to be better. Humans are also good and do good because they learn from the sufferings of life that they experience. Humans don't perfect. But humans are balanced. So that evil humans must have good even though there is only one. And even humans who look very good must have made mistakes in their lives. That's why humans are always encouraged not to boast and feel better than other people. others. We're all equal. We both have our bad sides. We both have our good sides." Lee explained at length.

"I don't understand Lee," said Daniel.

"You don't have to understand it now, later your life journey will give understanding to your mind."

"I understand that we have to be kind. Not arrogant and feel better than others. However, I am confused when the bad side also needs to be in us."

Lee smiled. Yin and Yang is a philosophy full of meaning. It can only be understood by living life itself.

"Suppose that one day your wife is kidnapped by a bad person. Are you going to stand still. You have to have the heart to fight them. To get your wife back you have to face them head-on. You may have to fight physically. You have to have the heart to beat them and hurt them. You also have to be angry because of what your wife kidnapped. Daniel was surprised. He just understood.
