Adeline's POV
I could feel the ray of sunshine on my face and noone needed to tell me it was morning already. It's time for school but first I have to wash Eva's stinking cloths.
Oops! I had forgotten I wasn't with my family anymore. The thought of washing her clothes especially her panties was a burden to me.
The stench that comes from it is always more than I could handle. I could tell she had been sleeping with a lot of guys, her clothes gave out different perfumes each day.
If I could recall well, Dane was her mate and I don't get why she'd go out with other guys. Wasn't he enough to please her? He was a handful, always f*****g her. I have overheard Eva's moans many times.
Dane's orgasm never ceased to draw maps on her bedsheets and it's so annoying that I have to clean their mess!
Sigh... I'm so unhappy today, I felt relieved that I escaped Eva's clutches yesterday but I'd be seeing her today, again. Can I even do without her?
I just wished I could make myself invisible, take lectures and come back to the house. At least I won't get bullied but even this place wasn't free of troubles.
There was Gabriella, I have to handle her rudeness and Hudson's craziness. My life can never be free if troubles I should know that.
I tried to stand up but felt something heavy on me, since when did the duvet become this heavy?
I gasped when I saw it wasn't the duvet but Aiden whose arms were wrapped around me possessively. God! How do I push him off me?
I tried but he wouldn't budge.
"Cuddles and Kisses, it's part of romance, right?" He said out of his sleep and my eyes shut wide as I stared at his smiley face with a stunned expression.
Cuddles and Kisses? Like seriously? I guess he was dreaming, this was just him sleep talking, yeah.
I tapped him on the shoulder to get him awake but he didn't wake up still.
I gulped, goosebumps spreading all over my body. What am I feeling right on my veejay? Gosh, it was his morning erection poking me right on the spot!
"Aiden, can you just take your 'bump' off me?" I mumbled, getting frustrated by his stubbornness. Just like he was listening, he obeyed but pushed me off the bed.
I gritted my teeth together as I rubbed my butt which ached from the impact of the hard fall.
I looked at Aiden, he was still fast asleep. I couldn't take my eyes off him. Hell, he looked handsome even in sleep. Just like a demigod, his facial features were beyond this world.
I kept gulping, unable to take my eye off him. I can never get tired of staring at his cute face but I just have to take a break now. I'm almost getting late for school.
After dressing up for school, I went to the kitchen to make Aiden's breakfast and there I met, Nora.
"Good morning, ma'am." She quickly bowed, flashing me a smile. I guess she can't stop addressing me this way so it would be better if I stopped correcting her.
"Morning, Nora." I smiled back at her. "Preparing breakfast already?" I asked, the sweet savoury of the food on fire wafting through my nose.
"Yes, ma'am. Spaghetti Bolognese and cheese. Mr Albert's meal timetable is sketched out already." She answered, giving me a small book Squinting my brows, I studied it for a while before giving it back to her.
"Nora, did you sketch this out?"
"Ms Gabriella did."
"Umm...umm..you know, Aiden needs meals that'd help him recover fast so I'll suggest this timetable is changed. I'm really sorry, this is nice but…."
"Alright, ma'am. Right away."
"I'll make changes when I'm back from school. I can see the meal is almost ready, please do well to serve Aiden on time, I have to leave now."
After Nora bade me goodbye, I walked out of the kitchen but I doubt I would have a nice day just as she had said.
Considering the meal timetable, I doubt if this family even wants Aiden's sight to be restored. But I really want that, the timetable just has to be changed, I'll look up for meals that would aid a fast recovery.
"Leaving already?" I heard a familiar voice behind me and halted in my steps. I turned around to see Aiden just as I've thought. I would always recognise his deep baritone voice.
I nodded. "Yeah, sorry I didn't inform you. I didn't want to disturb your sleep." I quickly apologised.
"Alright. Why don't you wait for breakfast then?"
"I'm kinda late and you know…." I paused, shrugging my arms. "...I have to walk to school."
Aiden frowned, folding his arms. Did I say something wrong?
"Why would you walk down to school when there's a driver to drop you off?"
"What more does a slave like her deserves?" Gabriella interrupted, descending the stairs. She stopped when she reached the living room and rolled her eyes at me.
I quickly lowered my gaze, my eyes fixed on my worn out shoes. Oh, there's a hole on the right foot? I didn't take note of that earlier.
"Gabriella, it's bad to interrupt others when speaking. You'd never change!" Aiden scolded her, hissing loudly.
Gabriella scoffed, looking at me with disdain. "You don't have to treat her well, besides you don't have a day in this house, only dad does. And in his absence, I would dictate how things should be. She won't be driven to school, I won't change my mind." She sat, crossing her legs.
Aiden moved closer to her and drew her by the ear, pulling her up. She winced in pain and when I tried to stop him, he told me to stay away.
Why doesn't he ever listen to me? I don't want to cause more trouble this morning.
"You know, it's just a matter of time and you'll be out of this house with your hell of a father and that pervert of a brother." Aiden said, his words holding a bit of annoyance.
"Don't you dare address my father that way! You're just a blind man and things wouldn't go according to your wish. Yesterday, you beat up Hudson but here is Gabriella and don't you think you can intimidate me!" She screamed, her fists tightened by her side.
Gosh! This was a bad way to begin the day. I could sense Aiden's anger as his chest heaved in and out. Gabriella's words had gotten on his nerves and I feared he might blow up again.
Aiden was kinda short-tempered and it's hard to stop him when his anger takes the best part of him.
"Shut up, Ella. Shut your trap before I break your bones!" Aiden yelled, his veins rising.
Gabriella let out a scoff, she didn't cease to taunt him with her words. Aiden was almost grabbing her jaw but I quickly took a grip of his arm and pulled him outside.
"Leave me alone!" He yelled at me as he flung my hand away. I could hear him cursing under his breath, his eyes turning red with rage.
I pulled him into a hug, I wanted to sooth him anger and urge him to calm down. He doesn't have to always fight for me, he shouldn't defend me every time. Yes, they'd always taunt him but if he fights back then it would only erupt more problems, more complications.
"Sometimes, it's best to walk away, Aiden."
