Chapter 14 Join Me While I Bath

1048 Words
Adeline's POV "Aiden, I don't think coming back to this house is a good idea." I frowned as we approached the mansion which was just ahead of us. I knew those relatives of his aren't gonna back down. They were going to make sure to bring Aiden to the ground even with the last drop of their blood. Aiden grinned, halting in his steps. "Yeah, we have to return." He said, turning to me. "I would have suggested we stay at one of my other houses but Uncle Thane now has everything." He sighed. "Hell, no!" I widened my brow in shock. Why would he go that far? Well, I shouldn't be surprised. If he could try to kill his nephew then claiming his property was less a big deal. "Oh yeah, yeah Del. They'd try to kill me again but I'll be careful this time." He nodded. "Alright." I swallowed hard as we went on. Walking in, Nora was the first person we saw. She kept pacing through the room and when she noticed us in the room, she looked up. "Ma'am, Mr Albert! Where have you been?" She asked, worry laced in her voice. Sorry, Nora. I lied yesterday. I didn't leave to get any air, I had to save my Aiden. "Oh f*****g geez!" Gabriella screamed when she came downstairs. I'm sure she was surprised to see us alive. "You expected us to die, didn't you?" I raised a brow, "Well, here we are, standing before you. The wolves did well and injured my husband, all thanks to your father." I spat, purely disgusted. "A.. Aiden, you're alive?" Gabriella scoffed, moving closer. "Why can't you just die?" "If a fool like you isn't dead why should I die? Uh?" Aiden's voice dripped cold and I feared he might get angry again. Uncle Thane rushed downstairs with Hudson behind him. Their faces flushed with disbelief as they saw Aiden. "Aiden, where were you last night? We were super worried!" Uncle Thane tried to touch him but Aiden slapped his hand away. Why would he try to act like he cared? He was the one who set up those wolves to kill him and this? Did he think Aiden would fall for it? Hudson held his father who was about to fall and he staggered as he tried to steady himself. "Don't you dare play pretend, uncle. You're a monster. You placed that letter in my room, right? You wanted me dead, didn't you?" He yelled, his fists tightening by his side. "Isn't it enough that you stole all my wealth?" Hudson stepped forward, challenging Aiden. "Oh,Don't you dare accuse my father wrongly. Your dad was the one who appointed him to guide you while he's away." "That was because he trusted your hell of a father!" Aiden snorted. "And now I'm beginning to think dad didn't really die of cancer and mom's sudden disappearance.. isn't just normal. It has to be someone, someone who doesn't want them alive and probably me too." He flared up. This time I wasn't going to calm him down. They deserved it after all. "Nobody killed your dad, Aiden. Also, your mom disappeared, you should believe it." Uncle Thane shrugged indifferently, sitting on the sofa as he turned on the TV. Damn.. He felt so comfortable. These people! Gabriella scoffed and ran up the stairs, answering her friend's call. "Oh Hayley, I'm in a very bad mood! The party…" Her voice slowly dissipated as she ascended the stairs. Hudson brushed his hair in annoyance and sat beside his father who was starting to laugh at the movie he was watching. He might have acted like he was calm but I could sense the anger burning within him. His plan didn't go as planned and being happy was the last thing for him right now. "You can never become the Alpha, Aiden. No matter how hard you try" Hudson said, folding his arms across his chest. His words provoked me and now I had to speak. "You do not rule the universe and you can't predict how things would go, Mr Man!" I retorted. "Oh, says an Omega who can't even fight for herself." Hudson mocked. His words got on my nerves and the urge to shift into my wolf form took an hold of me. But I just controlled myself, this wasn't the right time to reveal to them that I can now shift. I led Aiden to our room and even though he didn't want to leave, I had to force him. He shouldn't fight on. There were only two things left to happen. For Aiden to regain his sight, have his wolf awakened and also become the Alpha. Then he'd bring these cruel family of his to their knees and they'd be left with nothing but to plead for mercy. "Aiden?" I called, moving away from the window to his side. He was lying on the bed. "Yeah." He answered, turning to look at me. "Why don't we go see a doctor tomorrow?" "Del, I've literally visited all the hospitals in the city." He told me. "Maybe there's one left. There's a guy in my school whose brother is an optician– a popular one." I mentioned. We just have to try. I think Jackie's brother should be able to help. Aiden must regain his sight at all costs. "Mmm…" Aiden moaned as I gave him an head massage. He was simply enjoying it. "You still feel angry and trust me, this would help soothe your mind. Just close your eyes and...get a nice rest." I smiled at him, continuing the massage. "Seems you're asleep now." I said, standing up. "I'll go take a bath now." "Mind if I join?" Aiden's seductive voice, made me halt and I turned back, my mouth agape. Join me while I bath? Why was he acting this way? It's so strange. Aiden had never been this way. "Um, Aiden. I don't think that's a good idea. I'll go alone." I had to escape this awkward moment but before I knew it, I was pulled and now lying beside Aiden, his arms around me. "Just come to think of it, we've not had our honeymoon." He whispered into my ear. Oh Good Lord! Honeymoon?
