After not seeing Alev for over a week, Freya was more than a little disappointed. Joining Bardik on the assignment would be a great distraction. Maybe she would be working hard enough to just fall into a dreamless sleep, instead of the ones where they were on the beach. His lips on hers, making her want more than that.
Raven broke her aunt from her reverie, "Are you going to see the dragon? His heart flame is the same as yours. You miss him." she said. Her innocent questions making the other adults in the room look at each other.
Circe was the first to break the awkward silence, "No, Raven, sweetie, Aunt Freya is going on an assignment to help other people. Do you see everyone's heart flames?"
"No not everyone has one. Mommy and Daddy have them but they are different."
