My head was ringing from whatever drug they had used on me but my mind was sharp. Sharper than it had been in years. I had been preparing for this moment since my grandfather first told me about the prophecy. Since he warned me that one day a Winter Blood would return and everything would change. I just never thought I would be standing in chains watching it happen.
"The Triad Bond," I said and spat blood onto the pristine marble floor. "You are actually acknowledging it exists?"
Marcellus smiled and it was thin and cold. "I am acknowledging that legends have a way of becoming inconvenient truths. Especially when the evidence is standing right in front of me." He gestured to the platinum-haired woman who had been silent until now. "Lady Seraphis, if you would be so kind?"
