Natalie's POV
The light poured into me and I screamed. Not from pain. From everything else. Elara's memories hit me like a tidal wave. A hundred years of darkness crashed through my mind all at once and I could not breathe. Could not think. Could only experience what she had experienced.
She was young once. That was the first memory. Young and hopeful and so damn sure she could change the world. I saw her standing in front of the council proposing peace treaties. Saw her negotiating with hostile packs. Saw her smiling at her Triad with love so pure it hurt to witness.
Then I saw the fear start. Small at first. Whispers in corners. Worried glances. The alphas did not like how much power she had. Did not like that she could command them with a word. They started talking. Started planning.
