Enzo POV

I was rushing to the front gate after Derek told me we had rouges at the gate.

"How many are there?" I ask arriving to see Lucas my beta standing near the gate.

"There's just a couple the warriors have taken care of them now, but I don't think they were rouges Alpha." He states worriedly. "They don't have a pack sent but there not rouge scented ethier, I suspect Amber Eyes is behind this."

"Great, so they can mask the sents of their pack?" I ask

"Maybe." he replies looking at me "But it also doesn't instantly mean that there are his pack members either, nothing actually says if there either, or, we're going to do some digging, and they're gonna thoroughly check the body to see if they find anything."

"Okay, we need to double patrol and pick up some extra training. Just in case." I reply. "I'm heading back in to check on Aarna dismissed."

"Yes alpha." He replies getting back to the bodies.

I make my way back to the pack house, I know Aarna is safe with Derek so I wasn't too worried about her just wanted to get back to her.

You know you're confusing her Enzo, I can feel it, you tell her the marriage means nothing but act otherwise. It's confusing her. I don't know why you don't just tell her she's probably our mate, I think she is.

No Max I'm not telling her anything. She has 2 months till her birthday we will find out then if she is.

I ignored him and continued in the pack house, I knocked on the door to our room. "Derek is me Enzo you can unlock the door." The door unlocked and I walked in, "They're gone just a couple of rouges had planted an attack..." I stopped mid-sentence when I spotted the hickey on Aarnas neck, I was seething, this man was to protect his luna and this is what he was doing. "What the hell Derek!" I shouted, "You were supposed to be protecting my wife not trying to sleep with her!" I snarled my Alpha aroura showing in thick in the room.

Derek hung his head in respect. "I apologize Alpha I got carried away it won't happen again." He said as respectfully and apologetically as he could.

"It wasn't just him alpha I am to blame as well I allowed it, I apologize but do not put all blame on just him," Aarna said in a respectful tone.

I looked at her, Is she defending him? Nevertheless, he shouldn't have done this. "No, it's just his to blame because he was to be protecting you and he failed to maintain his composure." I said simply turning back to Derek, "It will not happen again understand me, do not make me think you can not protect my wife, but do not put her in harm's way because you can't keep it in your pants, and keep it on the down if you do pursue this. Dismissed." I said very much scolding him. He's my Beta he's supposed to be my second in command.

"Yes, Alpha," Derek said leaving the room.

I turned to look back at Aarna and started walking towards her, I needed to get that kiss and everything else from him off of her, why I don't know. I pushed her back against the bed, and with no hesitation, I kissed her urgently, she kissed back. I pulled away and went to kiss her neck but she pushed me off.

"What you'll let my Beta make a move on you but not your husband?" I said annoyed getting up. I was hurt too, that she would let him and not me as her technical husband right now.

She sat up and looked at me, "No it's not that it's that I'm confused by you. One minute you have someone else and this marriage mean nothing then you kiss me as if you want me as a lover and I'm confused, Derek came on me very quickly and surprised me but at least he's not confusing me." She replied simply but annoyed and I could tell.

I sighed. "I'm sorry," I said and left the room not sure what else to do right now.

What was that Enoz! Really why not just tell her?

Not now Max I'm not talking about this right now, I told him closing my mind.
