I woke up in an uncharacteristically good mood. The memory of last night brought a smirk to my face as I rolled out of bed. Katie’s reaction to my little stunt was exactly what I’d hoped for. Utter humiliation. I could still see her wide eyes, the disbelief, and embarrassment etched across her face.
She deserved every bit of it.
For what she did to Audrey, there wasn’t enough I could do to make her pay. Spreading lies about us, making a mockery of my relationship with the one person who mattered most. That was unforgivable. Katie needed to understand that there were consequences to her actions. And I was more than willing to dish them out. Last night had been a small taste of what would happen if she kept playing her games.
