The sun had just risen when I couldn’t help but think about Frank. I hoped he’d gotten a good night’s rest. I knew how particular he was when it came to sleeping. He had his preferences, and I knew it wasn’t always easy for him to relax. He looked tired and I wondered if he had found the right comfort after the long day.
I just hope that the arrangements I requested were enough for him to be comfortable.
I was lost in my thoughts when I heard a soft knock on the door. I blinked, startled, and made my way over to open it. To my surprise, it was Luna Eunice standing there with a gentle smile on her face.
“How was your rest, Katie?” she asked, her voice warm and soothing. “I hope you were able to get some sleep. I know how hard it can be after a long day.”
I managed a small smile
