When those men were finally gone, a terrible kind of silence befell in the room. It was a silence of uncertainty and the beginning of terrible fears.
‘what were they going to do? How would they get out of this terrible mess, alive?’ Megh gazed at Nair who had now slithered down the walls of the cabin and sat languidly on the floor with his face clutched in his hands.
“Nair!” Megh called out, suddenly nervous like a little child whose lies had been caught red handed and he was now waiting for punishment. He knew this whole mess was all his fault.
“I am sorry! But we need to talk….figure something out…I know this is all my fault, I irresponsibly got drunk and followed that evil little minx up here...and-and..”
