Dragons

After I took my nap, J had led us back to Alia's so I could return her clothes I had burrowed, but I knew it was so he could have a reason to talk to her. Both of them were blushing messes which had me puzzled on how they couldn't figure out that they like each other. "Now we're going to find you a companion," J spoke as we left Alia's. "Who?" I asked confused. "Dragons," he said causing me to stop in my tracks. "Really?!" I asked in excitement. "Yes, now come on we must not be late," he said pulling my along, "we're taking the water train." "What's that?" I questioned as I looked at the different creatures around me. "It's the long tube that goes under water to take you to different places," he answered, "there's one right around the corner. Alia told me she bought the house because she likes to ride the water train and that's why she bought this house." "Why don't you tell her you like her?" I asked genuinely confused. "Because she'll reject me," he whined causing me to laugh, "this is not something to laugh at." "Are you really that naïve?" I asked with laughter in my voice. "What are you talking about?" he asked as we stopped near a lake. "She is literally in love with you," I told him causing him to shake his head. "No she's not. I mean have you seen her she is the most beautiful maiden in the land and then there's me," he answered sadly. "Okay if she's the most beautiful lady in the land then how is she still single?" I asked raising an eyebrow at him. "Because she's waiting for the one," he spoke as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "No it's because she's waiting for you to make a move," I said rubbing my hands over my face, "I know how it feels to be insecure but sometimes you just have to take risks and if she does rejects you at least you wouldn't feel as hurt if she likes someone else." "I guess you are right," he said pressing his hand onto a pad which caused a transparent cube to come to the surface of the lake. "Where going in that thing?" I questioned worried if that thing could hold us. "Don't worry I take them almost everyday," he spoke after seeing the look on my face. After we had strapped in to the seats that also were transparent, the cube automatically went underwater. I held my breath for the first few seconds thinking we would drown but after hearing J laughing at me I released my breath and watched the beautiful scenery. There were sharks, different color fishes, dolphins, more sea life and there were even mermaids and they waved at me as we passed by so I waved back with a grin on my face. We had finally reached our destination according to J so we popped back up on the surface on the lake. I stepped out helping J out as well and then took in the scenery, it had an eerie atmosphere and there were caves all around but you could hardly see anything due to the fog surrounding the place. "So what are we doing here?" I questioned emphasizing the word so, "Is this where we'll be getting the dragons." "If the king was right he would be looking for us now," J told me. "What did you talk about and when did you guys even talk?" I asked. "Before-," J was interrupted by a loud roar up above, "there he is." As the dragon landed his wings was spread out moving the fog out of his way, landing on his hind legs then sat his whole body down causing a ripple through the ground making J and I stumble back. His whole body was covered in red scales except for his wings that had the color of fire, yellow and orange, his eyes held all three colors captivating me and horns that started at the tip of his nose to the centre of his back. "Wow," I breathed out. "He's amazing isn't he," I heard J mutter, him still in amazement. I moved towards him slowly and watched how he eyed my every move, I stood in front of the beast showing my palm to him and he placed his mouth in the centre and I could feel heat radiating from it. I rubbed the side of his face which earned a growl of pleasure so I continued to do it. "You can touch him to you know," I said To J still rubbing the side of the dragon's face. "I know, but I just wanted you to test it out first," he took a step forward, I could see he was nervous, "are you sure I can because dragons only like it when owners touch them." "I'm not his owner and I'm touching him," I reasoned with him. "Yeah but that was because he chose you," he argued, "and plus I can just look." "Do you have a dragon?" I questioned and by now the dragon was sitting down enjoying the rubbing he was getting. "Yeah I named him Roluth," he spoke, "but I don't ride her because of my height."  "Too bad. Do you think I should name him?" I asked turning to J letting my hands drop from the dragon's face. "Do whatever you want," J spoke encouragingly  . "Falkor," "Saphira,"  "Mushu," "Smaug," " Draco," "Aaroxx," I spoke and I saw him let out a puff of smoke out of his nostrils, "Aaroxx you like that one. I even made that up myself." "Well this is great," J spoke turning my attention from Aaroxx and to him, "all you have to do know is learn how to ride him." "No, there is no way I'm doing that," I refused. "If you can take down one of the most powerful fighters without training I think this will be easier," J reasoned. "Yeah because falling from the sky will be much safer," I said sarcasm dripping from every word. "Even if you do fall dragons move fast so they would catch you before you could even reach remotely close to the ground," J argued. "And you're talking from personal experience?" I asked. "Yes, it happens every time I ride but you see me standing here healthy," he spoke, "come on it'll be fun." I could feel Aaroxx nudging me with his nose on my back almost as if he was backing up J so I decided to give it a try. "Fine, I'll try," I spoke causing J's face to grow a huge grin and Aaroxx to rise from his sitting position.
