Aurelia and Domingo were taken away, but Jasper happened to witness this scene while waiting for Aurelia's return.
His mouth widened in shock, and he instantly clung to Susan's leg. "Susan, help! Mommy's been kidnapped!"
Susan was checking her phone. She instantly looked up and said, "What? Kidnapped? That can't be possible. Who would dare kidnap anyone in the airport...?"
Before she could finish, she saw a group of bodyguards escorting Aurelia and Domingo out.
Susan was shocked. Geez, these people had got balls!
"Susan, let's go save my mommy!" Jasper clutched Susan's clothes and said worriedly.
However, Susan hurriedly grabbed him and got into a car.
There were too many of them. If they rushed to save Aurelia now, they would surely fail and even end up being taken away as well.
So, Susan decided to hide for now. It would be wiser to secure Jasper's safety before calling the police in secret.
Chandler's residence was Autumn Mansion, an imposing mansion built into the mountains with a panoramic view of Marquessa Prime. The grandeur was intimidating, keeping ordinary people at bay.
Meanwhile, a small boy, about three years old, sat in one of the mansion's luxurious bedrooms, clutching a few test papers with perfect scores. His lips were pressed tight, his eyes rimmed with red as he struggled not to cry.
"Mr. Orion, don't be upset." The butler, Charlie, sighed. "You know your father's temper. He hates being questioned about your mother, but you challenged him directly. No wonder he's angry."
He then added, "Apologize when he returns, okay? He won't stay mad forever. Blood is thicker than water."
Orion tightened his grip on the papers. "Maria said if I got a perfect score in math, I could see my mom..."
The butler fell silent. The boy's longing for his mother was understandable, but Maria's promise was meant to placate him. No one expected a three-year-old to solve advanced math problems that not even adults could deal with, let alone secure a perfect score!
"Liar!"
Orion kicked over his toys and stormed back to his room.
He'd rather be locked up than apologize.
After all, he wasn't wrong. Everyone had their mom. Why couldn't he see his?
Meanwhile, Aurelia and Domingo were brought into Autumn Mansion.
Chandler sat in a carved wooden chair, his long legs crossed. He shot Aurelia and Domingo an icy glance and said, "Tell me where Jotherin is, and I'll let you go."
Domingo's forehead was beaded with cold sweat. It seemed this formidable man was also searching for Jotherin.
He glanced at Aurelia, looking for guidance.
Aurelia wasn't panicked at all. Her eyes met Chandler's defiantly, her gaze as icy as his. "Is this how you ask for help? It looks more like kidnapping to me!"
Chandler frowned. Domingo was Jotherin's assistant, yet this girl was doing all the talking.
Besides, Domingo kept glancing at her as if asking for her instruction...
Something was off.
Yet Chandler didn't point it out. He looked at Aurelia sternly and warned, "Yell all you want, and I guarantee this will turn into a real kidnapping."
His voice wasn't loud, yet whenever he spoke, there was an indescribable aura around him that forcefully silenced everyone.
If this had been three years ago, Aurelia might have been intimidated.
But now, she'd experienced all kinds of difficulties and even escaped death several times. She wasn't scared of him at all!
"Everyone says that the Chesterfields are arrogant. Now, I can tell that it isn't a lie," Aurelia sneered. "Dr. Jotherin hates the Chesterfield family. Don't you know her rules? Her first rule is never to treat Chesterfields!"
Chandler's face darkened, his presence even more intimidating, like a demon straight from hell.
How dare she speak to him like that? This girl had guts!
He knew Jotherin's rule well. In fact, everyone knew that this renowned doctor would treat anyone but Chesterfields.
"Is that so?" Chandler's smile was laced with menace. "Let's see if Dr. Jotherin sticks to her rule when her assistant and your life are at stake."
