Three years later.
At Marquessa Prime Airport, Leon stood with a group of men holding a large sign that read: "Welcome Dr. Jotherin to the Hanoria."
Beside him, Isabella, wearing a large sunhat, shifted impatiently.
They had been waiting for nearly five hours, and Isabella was growing frustrated. "Leon, are you sure Dr. Jotherin is coming today? We've been waiting forever, and there's still no sign of her."
"I paid a lot for this information. It's accurate," Leon reassured her. "Just a little longer. If I can get Dr. Jotherin to treat Mr. Phill Chesterfield, his son will agree to let my father and me back into the Chesterfield family. With their backing, no one will dare look down on us again!"
Hearing that they could return to the Chesterfield family, Isabella instantly shook off her frustration and became docile. She smiled sweetly and nodded. "Of course, Leon. I'll wait with you!"
Isabella had chosen Leon for his family background.
Even though Leon was from a branch of the Chesterfield family, it was still impressive. The Chesterfield family was the most powerful and ancient family in the Hanoria. Their servants could walk with their heads held high, let alone a branch member.
Unfortunately, three years ago, Leon's parents had made a grave mistake, leading to their expulsion from the Chesterfield family.
Isabella had nearly broken up with Leon out of that anger. Now, she was thrilled that he got this chance to go back to where he belonged.
As they anxiously waited, a commotion erupted near the gate.
"Oh my gosh, look at that adorable baby! And he's wearing matching outfits with his mom. So cute!"
"And his mommy is so elegant. Could she be a celebrity?"
Soon, everyone turned to look.
A mother and child walked hand in hand from the gate. The mother was tall and beautiful. Though she was only dressed in a white shirt and jeans, her simple attire couldn't conceal her elegance. The white shirt was crisp, and the jeans highlighted her long, straight legs. She wore large sunglasses that covered most of her delicate face, but her stunning beauty was still evident.
The little boy, about three years old, wore a pair of denim overalls. His skin was like a peeled egg, and his hair was soft. Just like his mother, he also wore large sunglasses that made him look like a mini-adult, looking irresistibly cute.
The high-profile mother-son duo attracted everyone's attention, including Isabella's.
But the next second, her eyes widened in shock.
"Aurelia? You're still alive?!"
Aurelia stopped in her tracks, turning to the source of the voice.
They finally met again, and the tension was palpable.
Aurelia's eyes narrowed. Isabella? What a coincidence to run into her right after returning to the country.
Isabella was also sizing up Aurelia. White shirt, jeans... Hmph, she was not even close to a celebrity. Couldn't she even afford a decent dress? She must have had a hard time these past three years.
Feeling pleased with her guess, Isabella adopted a superior attitude and sneered at Aurelia, "I'm surprised you're still alive. How did you escape? Did you seduce the doctor? Just like your mother, always using her looks to lure men."
Aurelia's gaze turned icy. "Isabella, watch your mouth."
She couldn't tolerate Isabella insulting her mother.
Little Jasper Dotton mimicked her stance, putting his hands on his hips. "Yeah, even I know to respect others, and I'm only three! You're an old woman now. Haven't you learned that yet? Didn't your kindergarten teacher teach you?"
"Old?" Isabella's veins bulged in anger. "Did you just call me an old woman?!"
"Yep." Jasper pointed at the veins on Isabella's forehead, his childish voice filled with mischief. "Look at those wrinkles. Of course, you're old!"
He crossed his arms and shook his head with a serious look. "You need to take better care of yourself, old lady. My mom doesn't have any wrinkles. Her skin is as smooch as mine!"
"It's smooth, honey," Aurelia corrected him.
"Smooch!" Jasper insisted, turning his head aside.
Their sweet interaction infuriated Isabella.
This brat dared to call her old! The skincare products she used were worth thousands. Could his poor mother even afford them?
Furious, Isabella was about to teach Jasper a lesson when Leon called out, "Beth, Dr. Jotherin is here! Come over. Don't waste your breath on trash. It lowers your status!"
Leon glanced at Aurelia and Jasper with disdain.
"You're right." Isabella snorted. "I'll let you off today, Aurelia. But next time, I won’t go easy on you and your child!"
With that, Isabella strutted past Aurelia, her heels clicking, and went to meet their guest.
Aurelia watched them go, saying nothing, but Jasper was furious. He puffed out his cheeks, fuming. "That rude woman! Mom, how could you just let her go?"
Aurelia's lips curved into a knowing smile. "Don't worry."
She had overheard that Leon and Isabella were here to meet Jotherin.
At the gate, Domingo Lianes was pushing two large suitcases. Leon eagerly approached him. "You must be Dr. Jotherin's assistant, Domingo. Nice to meet you. I'm Leon from the Marquessa Prime's Chesterfield family."
Jotherin was renowned for her medical skills but shrouded in mystery. It was said there was no illness she couldn't cure, but she rarely took on patients and never appeared in public. No one knew what she looked like. Leon had spent a fortune but only got information about her assistant, Domingo.
But that was enough. With the assistant's help, he could surely find Jotherin.
"Yes, the Chesterfield family from Marquessa Prime. You must have heard of us. The reputation of my family should be impressive enough to invite Dr. Jotherin to make a house call, right?" Leon was smug, already acting as if he had returned to the Chesterfield family.
Domingo, however, politely declined, "I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about. Please step aside. I'm in a hurry."
Leon grew desperate. "Don't play dumb. I know you're Dr. Jotherin's assistant. Just name your price. What will it take for Dr. Jotherin to come?"
Domingo frowned, about to respond, when a clear female voice interrupted, "Domingo!"
Aurelia stood at the gate, her beautiful eyes sweeping over Leon and Isabella with disdain. Then, she mocked them with the exact words that Leon had said moments ago. "Don't waste your breath on trash. It lowers your status."
