"Sorry Monique," I heard Marshan apologize to Monique. I paused while arranging the orders in Monique's coffee shop and looked at the two of them.
"What are you? I don't hold Christian's heart," Monique smiled at her.
I arranged their order of coffee and shortcake on the tray before I walked over to them. I can see how apologetic Marshan is, and I saw the glint of sadness in Monique's eyes.
