Liam: I sat in the war room, staring at the file Kai had just laid down in front of me. Surveillance notes. Locations. Timeline logs. Everything he had found while shadowing Alaria. “She was tense again this morning,” Kai said. “The man wasn’t there. But she was still not okay when she was dropping Anatasia off.” I didn't respond. I was too lost in my thoughts to do so. Kai leaned forward, elbows on his knees. “Whoever he is, he’s not just someone passing by.
