Rage courses through my body at Rowan's words. What the hell? How is it his first 'go to' thought is that he needs to win back Ava's affections and remarry her? That will happen over my dead body! I've schemed and worked too damn hard to marry Rowan to lose out to a brain-dead b***h now! Besides, what's he going to do? Woo a comatose lump? Fat chance of that.
I still can't believe she actually divorced him. I don't know whether to applaud Ava for finally finding the guts to call Rowan's bluff by filing for divorce, or be angry that somehow she, or her lawyer, was able to find proof of my relationship with Rowan, thus triggering the infidelity clause of their prenup.
I do know that I'm pissed that he gets nothing because of whatever proof they found. I now realize, too lat
