Ava had been home for two days, and was currently sitting in my office as I reviewed everything pertaining to the settling of her parents' estate. The process hadn't been difficult as her parents had long ago established a family trust. The only asset not currently registered to the trust was a vacation property they had made an offer on two months before their death, which they were planning to gift directly to Ava.
That is the issue we are dealing with now. The property closing had been delayed due to their death, but the sellers were pressing to finalize the deal.
