39. No idea

Chap 39 Without drawing any attention, I crouched, immediately making myself invisible and then going back on my feet. I watched as everyone touched the crystal ball, and as expected, it remained white. As they were about to leave, about three of them began to look in my direction. What? They couldn't possibly see me, could they? One of the men staring almost directly at me, let out, "I can't be the only one hearing an extra heartbeat. It's like someone else is in this room." Another one, twitching her nose, added, "I'm also getting a scent of someone else." Turning to Aunt Lena, she asked, "Is there someone in this building somewhere?" Gently flailing her hands, Aunt Lena responded, "I don't see anyone else. But, of course, we can't possibly trust my weak witch's eyes." Damn it.
