NOLAN Her eyes were gentle, and even more surprisingly, they had tears in them. "Nolan, I don't know if you even have any reason to believe me, but I need you to know that I don't hate you," Naire explained, in between sniffles, barely able to keep her stare on me. The last time I had seen her this meek and cool was when I was but a little boy, watching her gush over her favourite cartoon show, mimicking the animated characters' dances and singing with them too. "Naire, I don't think I deserve an apology from you or… or anyone for that matter," I began, resting back as I set my gaze on the ceiling above. "I know I did wrong by everyone by choosing to stay away, and I understand if you all harbour some anger or animosity inside, you know. I don't think I deserve an apology at all." Sha
