As I got older, those questions became easier to tackle— easier, mind you, not easy. Growing up was like realizing that the whole world was designed for humans, just as Aunt Lena had tried to make me understand back then. From healthcare to sports, education, work—everything was catered to humans, by humans. In theory, it is possible for some witches to coexist with humans— and some do— but the reality was that if all the thousands of witches left the town headed into the 'human world’, we'd just be increasing the risk of being discovered by humans—something nobody, witches or werewolves, wanted.
