Jasmine POV I was drifted into a fitful slumber, I couldn't control my mind as it still reeling from the past events that had happened few years ago, it took me back to that fateful night when I just returned after enrolling in John Hopkins Medica school, the best medical school in my city. I returned home to find my whole family been brutally killed , their cause of death were unknown to me. I could see all bodies from our Butler to my father's driver except my father and uncle body, I stumbled through the c*****e, my heart was heavy with grief, until I found my uncle lying on the brink of death. The pain I felt then was crushing. I cried out in anguish, the sound echoing through the wall of our house, The cry followed me as I awoke, my eyes suddenly fluttering open as I found myself alone in an empty hospital room. The beeping of machines echoing through the room wall and the antiseptic scent of the hospital filled the air. I lay there, i felt my body disoriented and shaken,I couldn't control my mind as i was struggling to remember what actually happened. But just as I tried to sit up, I could feel a sharp pain shot through my head, forcing me back onto the pillow. my hand fell upon the bandages which was wrapped on my head. I growled, wincing in pain as the it was unbearable, suddenly my eyes landed on a female bag on the table. Just then, the door creaked open, and a very beautiful woman entered the room. Her piercing green yet beautiful eyes and raven hair made it so easier for me to instantly recognize her, it was the same woman who had gotten out of the car that had hit me. She is really a beauty, her attire screaming wealth and opulence. "Hello," she said in cold and detached voice. "My name is Calantha." She said as she came closer to me. "I must ask you this, did you intentionally jump in front of my car to get hit?" I stare at her, I knew her type from her way of speaking , a spoiled billionaire heiress, cold and rude to the core. I didn't bother responding, my silence could shown her the indication of my disdain. "Are you not going to reply me", she said in angry tone. "I'm not interested in any charade," I spat, my voice firm as I tried to sit up and remove the drip attached to my arm. "Just leave." She stood firm, I could tell she was really annoyed. "What do you want, then?" she asked, I could feel sense of a subtle edge. She continued, "I hate being indebted to anyone, and I know your type. You'll come back later, asking for something bigger and better." I was looking at her as I was taken aback by her bluntness. '"What ?" I asked, as I was confused. " I knew people like you, intentionally bumping into my cars, or get in my wrong side and claim victims, they will always want something from me. Either they want my body or my father's money. So I am asking which one do you also want?" She said with a narrowed face. I was perplexed, as I watched her rattled off her list. I could sense a deep bitter resentment, a clear sense of being used and exploited in her words . It must have been what turned her into a woman that is so guarded and cynical. "I want just one thing ," I said with a firm voice. "an apology". That's all I want." I could sense a disbelief in her word as she speak. "An apology? You really want me to apologize to you?" She smirked. I nodded. "Yes, that's the only thing I want from you." Her face got hardened. "I don't know how to do that," she said. "I've never apologized to anyone in my entire life. It's a lame things to do." I gave a deep sighed, I couldn't help it but got frustrated. "Fine. Then leave. I want our meeting to end. I promise I won't be coming back to receive anything from you." I said. Just as Calantha was about to speak again, the door suddenly burst open and a man with a suit attire comes in, he was with a lady and some security personnel. I am still surprised on whole things, who this man could be as well. "Hello" "I am Atticus Blackwood, I am an attorney to the J-Hope Group." He said, but still sound strange to me. He looked into my eyes, he smiled a little and I could sense some respect from his word " Sir, the chairman of J-Hope Group, Mr. Jaxon heard about last night's incident about her daughter hitting someone with a car and wishes to see you. When you are discharged, we are asked to bring you" he said. The nurses came inside they removed all the wires attached to me, I followed Atticus to the outside of the of the hospital, the evening sun cast a warm glow over the sleek limousine they brought to pick me, I was surprised . " Please enter'" i was surprised when he said to me. I couldn't hesitate long as I entered and we start the Journey, the drive was silent, with only the soft hum of the engine and the heavy breathing of my heart not long we arrived at the imposing mansion of J-Hope Group. I couldn't believe my eyes, but be surprised about the estate which was a marvel of opulence, a manicured lawns, with a bright fountains and a facade that shimmered like diamonds . I could see the security personnel patrolled the grounds, they are heavily dressed, I could see their eyes scanning the surroundings with an uptight security. As we entered the J- Hope mansion, I was shocked by the sheer grandeur of the interior crystal chandeliers, it was a priceless artwork filled of a lavish furnishing that was so full of wealth and power. Atticus led in the front as I followed from behind to the labyrinthine corridors, I could heard our footsteps echoing on the marble floors. We finally arrived at a sprawling beautiful office, i saw a figure of a man in the shadow, he was behind the curtains with a grey hair. My mind couldn't stay at one place as I was thinking who was this man?
