Hunt

Han Qi sternly stared at the pond. The big pond was situated at the dead center of the inner courtyard where there was a bridge built connecting in four cardinal directions. The surrounding was filled with huge green bamboos. The scenery is great and serene, yet the pond that was supposed to be filled with carps was empty.  "Xiao Ping?" At her voice, Xiao Ping appeared behind her, standing in respect with her head bow down but standing ramrod-straight back. "What is it, Mistress?"  "Didn't we just buy some golden carps last week?" Han Qi suspiciously asks as she stared at the pond. When the system had given this courtyard as a package for her, she had inspected every crook and cranny of this courtyard, the only thing she didn't inspect was this pond. Its depths can't be measured by the eyes, the only thing you can see is the clean and calm surface water. "Yes, we had bought over a total of 20 golden carps of the most expensive breed." Xiao Ping obediently answered while glancing at the pond, deep inside its depths, golden pupils stared at her mistress fawningly, she ignored it and watch as her mistress frown. "What a pity. They'd disappeared again. Don't tell me there's another place deep inside this pond?" Han Qi sighed. She had bought those carps in hopes of raising them in the pond for future delicacies yet her dreams are dashed. While Han Qi was bemoaning her fate of unable to eat seafood, Xiao Ping glared at the golden pupils deep in the pond, internally scolding it. You cheap dragon! You keep eating Mistress carps! If not that she wished to be an ordinary person, I would have to fight it out with you. "Fine. Since there no fish here, let's go with the meat. Xiao Ping, call Anwei and Anbai, we're gonna go hunt some animals." After living in seclusion for a long time, Han Qi forced the system to also teach her how to cook, sew, carve, and also hunt.  The system didn't allow it at first but was forced to when Han Qi decided to throw politeness out of the window and impulsively challenge a cultivator. With the rest being history, the system finally taught her. And for Anwei and Anbai, these two are a fox and a wolf she had once rescued. Anwei being an outcast of her pack since she can't hear and Anbai, a rare silver fur fox that is hunted. Both animals are rescued and cured by her and then ever since that day, they decided to follow her, having no choice since both animals keep following her, she decided to just adopt them. "There is no need mistress, both of them are already here." Xiao Ping stared at the second gate and two shadows flashed by and a fox and a wolf obediently laid down in both Han Qi's feet.  "Anwei, Anbai! You two rarely came by unless I called you for hunting!" Han Qi smiled dotingly. The wolf Anwei is as tall as her when fully standing up at all fours and Anbai was almost to her chest. These two are ferocious animals yet were as docile as a pet cat and dog in front of her. "Let me go and change to my hunting outfit, after that we'll go down and hunt." Han Qi walks to her master's residence. ~~~ "Master, we can't go on like this! These bastards are obviously playing with us!" Mo Lily angrily spat out while holding her bloody shoulder, in front of her was a man of cold countenance with an injured hand.  "We're nearing the Mist Mountain, after we lost those demons there, we can safely escape." Bo Qin calmly stated as the two of them continued running with injuries. "Howl! You two bloody cowards. Come out now~" A taunting roar came from afar, this taunt enrage Mo LIly more as hatred brewed inside her heart. If those demons didn't ambush and interrupted Master's breakthrough, can they even fight with us?!  After entering the misty mountain, a giant silhouette blocked their way. It was a giant tiger and behind it was a giant green snake. "You two finally stop?" The tiger growled and sneered "Demons! If you didn't injure my master, we could have thrashed the two of you!" Mo Lily felt unfair, now that her master injured his hand and depleted his qi in fighting the lighting tribulation, how can a Qi foundation cultivator like her fight these nascent demons with cores?  Just as she was despairing, a melodious voice entered their ears. "Aiyah~ So we're having tiger and snake meat for lunch, Anwei, Anbai." The voice was delicate and charming yet the content of the words is not. "Who?ssss?" the green snake vigilantly observes its surroundings but just saw mist everywhere. Without anyone noticing, an arrow pierced through the quiet atmosphere and accurately shot the green snake's eyes. "Ssssssssssss!"
