"Damn it! What are you doing, Jay?!"
"I want to hug my wife."
As per the agreement, if Jay hasn't returned after a decade of marriage, and doesn't continue the marital union as it should be, then Hazel is free to decide. And Hazel almost got her freedom.
Hazel had been tormented enough by her secret marriage to an Asian star at Jay's request. Both families kept the agreement without thinking about Hazel's feelings about this game.
Now, the bastard is back in the village with a million fake charms, hypnotizing the villagers until the village security joined to fortifying so that reporters can't get in. All at the request of the most respected Han family in Hoshi Village.
Hazel felt like screaming out loud. She confirmed that she completed her education because Jay supported her even though not directly. But Hazel could have been a better doctor if she had been allowed to choose her college. She is stuck in the village because of her husband, who enjoys being adored all over the world.
Jay and Hazel's families had been neighbors for a long time. Hazel's father even worked on the Han family's farm and developed an organic vegetable and tea business together.
Jay's father was attracted to Hazel and often helped her father with gardening. She was a beautiful and strong woman. Since then, the idea came up to match her with their youngest son.
Hazel and Jay were 17 years old at the time. They married just because of their desire to participate in natural activities together on the other side of the island so that Jay could take good care of Hazel properly. Even in the first year of marriage, they were close and complemented each other. However, when Jay wanted to go to Seoul to realize his dream as a model, Hazel grew colder until an agreement came about.
When Jay's popularity peaked, Hazel became more and more locked up. She postponed college for two years until Jay's father finally permitted Hazel to go to college as long as she didn't leave the island. She felt there was no fairness between the two.
Pow!
"Argh!"
Hazel stood up with her hands around her waist. "I already said that I only hugged you last night."
Wincing in pain, Jun still managed to laugh. "Don't be so idealistic."
"Don't expect anything from me. Get out of my way!" she snapped out of the room.
"Thank you."
That short sentence made Hazel put on the brakes.
"Thank you for making me calmer," Jay continued to express with sincerity. It made Hazel's heart swoon. But she quickly saved herself.
"Don't get me wrong! I did it because I'm human. I also have a heart and sympathy even though I hate you to death," Hazel concluded without looking back at her interlocutor and waltzed away.
"Oh, my God! Good morning, pretty lady!" greeted the innkeeper's grandmother.
Hazel politely bowed as she returned her clothes. "Thank you very much for the house-ride."
"It was nothing." Then the grandmother's eyes widened as she realized something, and she laughed with a glee that confused Hazel. "I'm also happy you guys were able to make the most of this moment together."
Hazel raised one eyebrow. She felt something was wrong.
"Of course, Gran. Thank you very much." Suddenly Jay came out and put an arm around Hazel's shoulders. "Thanks to being stranded, we found this beautiful island and will soon have the baby we've been waiting for."
Granny laughed with satisfaction. She was happy. "Then, after a night of thrilling games, let's have some fresh fish soup," she invited over to the table. There was a lot of spread of food on it.
Hazel gave Jay a sword glare instead, gave her a sweet look while poking her chin, then went ahead of Granny. Hazel was frustrated.
"How did it taste? It's delicious, right?"
Jay nodded vigorously. "It's amazing! I haven't eaten fresh, healthy food like this in a long time."
The food was indeed delicious, but Hazel felt that her world was not okay, so the pleasure of eating seemed to disappear, but she tried her best to be appreciative.
"If your beautiful wife is pregnant, so after the child is born, you can come here again. Your child should know about this amazing place."
"Of course, Granny. We'll be back," Jay said excitedly.
"Argh!"
Jay turned his head. "Are you okay?"
"Hm," Hazel briefly replied, then felt her lips stinging from the hot soup, then widened her eyes when she found a center for the pain.
"Hey!" Granny patted Jay's hand. "I know you guys want a child, but you need to slow down, young man!"
Jay's cheeks suddenly turned red. "Okay, Granny. I'll be careful next time." Then looked at Hazel sweetly, rubbing her head gently. "I'm sorry, sweetheart."
Hazel just frowned, then smiled at Granny. She felt like she didn't need to have another run-in with Jay. She continued eating.
But her eyes widened when Jay picked up a bowl of black soy noodles. "Hey!" Hazel squealed in surprise. "Oh, I'm sorry, Granny. He's allergic to peanuts."
"Just eat granny's fish soup," Hazel gruffly continued to Jay.
Despite being cursed at by his wife, Jay was happy. Especially when he didn't realize he was allergic to nuts. Jay's cheeks were rosy as he stared at his wife.
"You guys! Don't go yet!" suddenly an old man, granny's husband, brought a bicycle. "You have to go around the island by bicycle."
"No, Sir. We'll soon..."
"Alright. We'll make good use of the bicycle."
Again Hazel turned her head, cursing from her piercing gaze. Jay only responded casually. The ship wasn't ready yet anyway.
"Hop on!" said Jay.
Hazel squinted as the sunlight and strong wind hit her. "No. You go ahead. I'll just sit here."
"Hazel! I guarantee you'll regret it."
"Not really."
"Hazel!" squealed Jay. "Come on up! Are you going to waste the beauty of this island just because you don't want to be near me?"
Hazel, who was a nature lover, suddenly realized Jay's sentence. The man also remembered that Hazel loved everything about nature, so she piggybacked Jay.
Renting a bike was the best way to see everything the island had to offer in a short period. There was a circular road along the coast of the island that offered a beautiful view of the sea. On that trip, they seemed to forget that there was a conflict going on.
Jay felt like his load was unraveling, while Hazel didn't seem to remember that she was holding the waist of the man she hated the most. It all happens because of the song of nature that gives a miracle.
They looked like a perfectly married couple.
