The city was silent, but the air still hummed with residual energy. Dust swirled in golden streaks wherever Daniel’s aura had collided with the Genesis units, and the smell of scorched metal lingered. For a brief moment, it seemed as if the world had paused, holding its breath in awe of what had just unfolded.
