The fear had seeped into her soul for a while now, and even though she tried to do away with it, the feeling lingered, clinging onto her like a leech and sucking the life out of her. She took deep gulps of air to slow her erratic breathing, but even that accomplished little to nothing.  She sighed, keeping her eyes pinned on the black clothe she held between her fingers.
