The hospital corridors were quiet, it was already one in the morning, and the atmosphere was serene. Olivia looked at her brother who was talking on the phone at the end of the corridor. In fact, she and Ivory had only met a few times and were not familiar with each other. But if it weren't for Ivory, who came to her aid, she didn't know what would have happened to her. Osgar walked up to Olivia and said, "I'll handle tonight's affairs, but this is the last time, Olivia." Olivia's shoulders sagged slightly, and she nodded, her voice barely above a whisper as she replied, "Yes, brother." She didn't want to cause him any trouble. Although he was her half-brother, Olivia was more afraid of him than her parents. As the Alpha of their pack, – The Moonlit Pack. Osgar commanded a level of respect and fear that was unmatched within the Wescotte family. Olivia's curiosity was piqued as she walked alongside Osgar "Is it true that you and Andrea are engaged?" "That's not something you need to worry about, Olivia." Just when he saw Olivia and wanted to continue asking,” She has woken up, and you can go thank her.” "Really?" Olivia exclaimed, her eyes widening in surprise, and she hurried off towards the room. Olivia knocked softly on the door before entering, her face breaking into a warm smile as she saw Ivory sitting up in bed. "I'm so happy you're awake, Ivory," her voice filled with genuine relief. "I'm very grateful for your help today, and I'm sorry you got hurt." Ivory returned Olivia's smile." It doesn't matter." Olivia's expression turned somber as she reflected on the events that had led to Ivory's intervention. "I didn't know what to do," she admitted. "And I'm not sure what would have happened if you hadn't come to my rescue. No one else seemed willing to help. I had no idea Mr. Terry was capable of such shameless behavior." Ivory's gaze lingered on Olivia, she couldn't help but see a younger version of herself reflected in Olivia's innocent eyes—naïve, trusting, and all too easily manipulated. She looked at her innocent face and couldn't help but think, If she were not Osgar’s sister, would she still help her? Olivia's voice broke through Ivory's thoughts, pulling her back to the present. "Why so quiet, Ivory? Are you alright?" she asked, her brow furrowing in confusion. Ivory offered a gentle smile in response, shaking her head slightly. "Nothing, Olivia." As Darren knocked gently on the door, Olivia's attention shifted, her expression turning to one of readiness. "Miss Olivia, we need to head home now." Olivia nodded in understanding, turning to Ivory with a small smile. "I need to go home," she explained. Ivory returned Olivia's smile, "Take care on your way home." Turning to Darren, Ivory couldn't help but voice her curiosity about Mr. Terry's fate. "What will happen to Mr. Terry?" "He has been arrested, and he will be put on trial immediately. He’ll never be seen again." Ivory was aware that without Osgar's instructions behind the scenes, Terry would never face any consequences. Ivory nodded, “Thank you for letting me know." *** Alone in his car, Osgar drove back to his luxurious mansion. Upon arriving home, he made his way to his room, shedding his coat and quickly stepping into the shower. He walked out of the bathroom in a pure white bathrobe, only tied a belt around the waist, some loose, abs hidden, and skin also flowed with water droplets... His slightly messy hair is still wet, and the whole person is through a full sense of lethargy. Pulling out a cigarette and lighter from his pocket, Osgar leaned against the bathroom counter, his brow furrowing in thought. As he reached for his gold pen, however, his hand came up empty. Frowning, he searched the room, but the pen was nowhere to be found. Yesterday's events came back to him. It's her, Ivory. **** The next day, a vibrant woman with pixie hair and thick glasses, rushed into Ivory's hospital room. "Ivory! How are you feeling?" She greeted him with a warm smile, noticing Ivory's frown as she struggled with the gold pen. Ivory looked up, relieved to see her friend. "Hey, Angela, I’m okay," she replied, setting aside the pen. "Thank you for picking me up." Angela assisted Ivory with getting discharged from the hospital. Angela drove Ivory to her home. She was adept at gathering intelligence, and her home was filled with computers and technological devices. There were so many things that Ivory couldn't even name them all. "So, did you see the Alpha Osgar last night?" Ivory nodded. One was an accident. And the other was an opportunity earned through daring adventures. "Do you really need to go to such lengths just to get close to him?"Angela asked. “Getting close to Osgar could open up a lot of opportunities for me." "Osgar is certainly a catch," Angela admitted, "He's a billionaire, handsome, and unlike those dirty old men out there,But..." She let out a sigh, understanding her friend's motivations but still feeling uneasy about the situation. "...But he also is the strongest and youngest Alpha, so he's even more dangerous too, and I've never heard of anyone successfully getting close to him." Ivory nods "I know, just because he's the most powerful and, it's a rare opportunity, I have to try." Angela looked at Ivory worriedly, despite her fears she knew that once Ivory had made up her mind she would not change it. "By the way, I found out. There were no accidents, just as we suspected,"Angela changed the topic. “Mr. Palmer is from Georgina Reeves's family corporation, and he is the Vice President of the Reeves Group” "Georgina is such a b***h," she exclaimed, her voice of anger. "Not only did she steal your fiancé before, but now she's manipulating that old man, Palmer, to target you and your family? It's disgusting!" Angela is very aware of the historical hatred between them. Recalling those scenes makes Angela feel pity for Ivory again. Georgina had always been causing trouble for Ivory. Now that Ivory has lost all her support, Georgina relies on the fact that her family has money. And can cover up her evil deeds. Angela sighed sympathetically. "l know you could make it ivory, but you still need to be careful." Ivory's expression softened, "l know, Angela." ** A few hours later, Angela offered to drive Ivory back to her University, where she lived in the dormitory. Angela had dropped out of school a long time ago. The Werewolf University seemed prestigious and promoted equality for all, but she knew, all the students knew that beneath the surface, it was built on corruption. The werewolf world could never truly be equal. Everyone in this school was clearly divided into different ranks based on their family background and status. Different ranks receive different treatment., and the leadership knew it all but pretended otherwise. Before Ivory's family went bankrupt, the University had arranged the highest level of treatment for her, even when she was just a high school student. However, when news of Ivory's family downfall spread, Ivory belong to the lowest class within the University's hierarchy. Looking at the rundown building in front of them, Angela let out a soft sigh and glanced at Ivory's calm profile. "Ivory, if you need any help, make sure to let me know," she said. Ivory offered Angela a small smile, "Thanks, Angela," *** In the president's office, Osgar, clad in a tailored gray suit, tall and slender. His shirt creases accentuating the contours of his frame. With his sleeves rolled up twice, The veins on his arm became even more pronounced under the light. As he signed documents, he noticed the ink smudging on the paper with the new pen. Pausing momentarily, he pressed the intercom button to speak to his assistant. "No need to find that pen," he instructed tersely. Darren set down the phone he was about to use to call Miss Ivory. He responded promptly. "Understood, Your Highness."
