Elaria’s POV I lost count of the days. They bled into one another like smoke. . . indistinguishable, curling around the bones of my memory and choking me in silence. There was no light here. No sun, no moon, no rhythm to guide me. Only stone and shadow. And thirst. They had succeeded into bringing me here, away from my family, away from Alaric. I know there is someone higher behind this.
