As Higanbana got up, so did Xion, he looked at her. Just by the terrifying irritation in his eyes, she whimpered and sat back down. When I looked over at Aygul, she was just gone. I got scared, of course...but as I was about to get up to look for my best friend, Xion, decided to sit next to me, and grabbed my wrist.
“It’s ok. Weird stuff happens all the time here.”, Xion giggled, as if to show she wasn’t scared or nervous. But it was too obvious she was scared, and nervous. She was shaking a little, and fear was evident in her glossy brown eyes. I decided to gently tug away from Xion’s grip, and she let go. She looked even more terrified than before. Almost like I had just died in front of her...as I turned around, Xion decided to be hot on my heels at that moment. She held my hand and looked up at me and I looked at her.
“Hey, if you’re gonna leave the little den, I’m coming with you...to protect you.”, she said as she looked me in the eyes, doing her best to be confident. But she still looked scared, but this fear changed from the previous fear. It was as if she was afraid of what I might see...like some kind of child trying to hide they ate cookies when they shouldn’t have.
This made me walk more quickly out of the theater den, more confused than ever.
BUT THERE...RIGHT...IN...FRONT OF ME...was four giant wolves…
One all black, one mostly black with silver in it’s coat...one with brown, almost the same brown color of Aygul’s hair...and lastly one was dark brownish, who was the biggest wolf out of the four.
What was I looking at?!
Xion saw the fear in my eyes, and so did the other wolves...they’re eyes went from annoyance from one another to guilt and concern when they looked at me. Even Xion’s turned to guilt too.
That’s when my vision fought to keep some light in them, I felt my body start falling before fully going unconscious…
When I opened my eyes again, Aygul was by my side. I then fluttered my eyes a few times to focus more to see my surroundings. Everyone who we were supposed to hangout and watch movies with looked all guilty and ashamed. I noticed I was laying on a comfy, large bed. It had black silk sheets, and there was a bowl of water on the nightstand. I noticed there was a small wet cloth on my forehead...What did I miss? Besides four giant wolves being in the kitchen area- wait, there were wolves in the kitchen...why isn’t everyone freaked out!
“I know you must be questioning a lot right now…”, Aygul started. Like hell I wouldn’t be.
“But there’s something I have to be honest with you about…I’m not human, Lily. Our group we were gonna hangout with are all werewolves, and so am I. I’m sorry I kept this from you...”,
Aygul said, she looked almost heartbroken. She looked away from me at this point as well, as tears welled up in her eyes...this has to be some horrible joke right? Werewolves are just fictional creatures...just like how Vampires and Witches are too. It’s a just magical, supernatural, creature with either a curse or blessing by some supposed Celestial being. Which also doesn’t exist...right?
The clear sight of disbelief was written on my face...to add salt into this wound, Xion...turned before me.
An elegant yet horrifying sight before me unfold, as Xion’s body covered itself in black and silver fur...as her bones cracked and creaked as they took their new forced form, forcing the small stature of a person in front of me from standing to a slightly large wolf on all fours.
I stared in awe yet horror. All I can think to myself at this point is why I’m not fainting again...this is certainly more horrifying than four giant wolves standing around in a kitchen! Trying my best to keep somewhat calm, I stare over at Aygul again.
She notices my gaze and more tears spring out...from knowing, I really know the truth about her now.
