Chapter 12Joe Hesterberg was charged with murder in the death of Edward Nicholson, the former job superintendent for JYB Commercial Contractors. He was also a leading suspect in the murder of the attorney Stanford Birdman. Birdman was to testify against him in return for a plea bargain for obstructing justice.
